There are three players who have just recently committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the high school volleyball season and have been also hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Addison Amick [2021] 5-6 Libero/Outside (HS: Boerne/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Victoria JC)
Miss Amick is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig State Rankings list but is a solid player from the San Antonio area. She plays for the famed Alamo Volleyball club who routinely pumps out college players and Boerne High School. We wrote about Miss Amick earlier in October when we profiled her school program. In the article we wrote the following, “This competitive firecracker of a player plays with a lot of passion. She has been an all-around hitter in past years for club but is the Libero for the Greyhounds. Addison has great footwork and is very active on the court. She communicates very well on the court with her teammates. She reads the game like a coach does. It is very refreshing to see a player be that involved in the game while its being played. Last year she earned 2nd Team All-District and Academic All-District. The Greyhounds will rely on her leadership on the court. Miss Amick has 343 digs on the season and leads the team with 17.2 per match.” She has just commited to Victoria Junior College and couldn’t be more proud of her. She will get to continue her dream of playing at the next level. We are extremely proud of her and will enjoy covering her during club season. Please help us congratulate her on her accomplishment.
Helena Vazquez [2021] 5-10 Setter/Right Side (HS: Lake Ridge/Club: Texas Advantage/Verbal: Hardin-Simmons)
Miss Vazquez is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig State Rankings list but is a great player from the Dallas area. She plays for the famed Texas Advantage Volleyball club who routinely pumps out college players. As a setter, the ball comes out of her hands so fast. She has such a great quick release that allows her to set quick tempos and also high tempos with a little pop. She is able to locate the high left side pin set from many locations on the court. This is key for out of system offenses to thrive. She moves the ball around to all of her hitters well and is capable of playing solid defense in right back. Helena will do great things at Hardin-Simmons. We know she has been trained very well at her club program and it will translate to great success. We are extremely proud of her choice to realize her dream of playing volleyball at the next level. Please help us congratulate her on her accomplishment.
Audrey Pearce [2021] 6-1 Middle (HS: Aledo/Club: Texas Image/Verbal: Houston Baptist University)
Miss Pearce is currently an unranked prospect in the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings but that could change in the next update in a few months. She is a very athletic middle who shines in the front row and back row. She plays with a lot of fire and energy. She has great ball control and showcases it regularly on the court during out of system plays where she has to set a ball to a hitter or use emergency digging techniques to keep her team alive. She is able to run all tempos along the net offensively. She shines as a blocker due to her high jumping ability and her quick footwork to track the set from the opposing setter. She runs a mean slide and a legit shoot set in the 31 position. In three years on Varsity, she has amassed 429 kills, while hitting an efficient .280 and accumulating 300 total blocks, and 22 aces. HBU will be able to utilize her in many positions next year. Please help us congratulate her on realizing her dream of playing at the next level.
