Here is a scouting report on five players who were among the Kansas leaders in blocks during the 2020 high school season.

MB, Sydney LentzSydneyLentz6'1" | MBMaize | 2021StateKS, 6’2”, Maize (Ranked No. 46) – Lentz was not the top blocker in Kansas, but she arguably could be the best well-rounded of the middle blockers in the Class of 2021. The Maize senior finished 2020 with 108 blocks to go along with 121 kills. Lentz plays club ball with Wichita Midwest.
MB, Erin DetersErinDeters6'2" | MBSabetha | 2021StateKS, 6’2”, Sabetha (Ranked No. 83) – Deters finished her senior season at Sabetha with 137 blocks. Deters is an uncommitted talent who is worthy of college offers. She also had 81 kills, but she is primarily a front-row player.
MH, Halle BudkeHalleBudke5'11" | MHBeloit | 2021StateKS, 5’11”, Beloit (Ranked No. 85) – Budke amassed 127 blocks in 2020 114 of those were solo blocks. The Beloit senior is a solid jumper who has excellent blocking technique.

Ozi AjekwuOziAjekwu6'2" | RSLawrence | 2021StateKS, 6’2”, Lawrence (Ranked No. 94) – Ajekwu is a strong athlete. She had 103 blocks for the Lions in 2020. Ajekwu also added 107 kills. She is tall and has a big reach which makes her a solid defensive and offensive threat at the net.

Jayla PierceJaylaPierce5'9" | MHEudora | 2021StateKS, 5’10”, Eudora (Ranked No. 118) – During Pierce’s 2020 senior campaign she totaled 104 blocks and 140 kills. Pierce is committed to playing softball at Rockhurst University.
