Here is a look at a four Liberos who played solid defense during the day’s event which featured 29 17U teams from the Midwest.
Lily Ebright, 5’4”, Air Capital Aces (Bishop Carroll) – The one certain quality that Ebright own is knowing how to win. She plays for two winning programs with the Air Capital Aces and Bishop Carroll. The Golden Eagles finished their season at the Class 5A State Championship tournament and the Aces qualified for the next round of Power League play. Ebright also reads the other team well and anticipates where she needs to be defensively.
McKenzie Moburg, 5’5”, PVA (Lansing) – Moburg is a solid libero for both PVA 17-1 and Lansing. She finished her junior season with 241 digs and 231 serve receptions for the Lions. PVA is a talented club and Moburg begins rallies with her solid defensive skills. Moburg and her teammates advanced to the next round of Power League play which is scheduled for February 7 in Kansas City.
Maddi Beeley, 5’7”, Kansas United (Free State) – Beeley is a high energy player who has benefited from playing and practicing with talented Free State and Kansas United clubs. Beeley finished her junior season with 271 digs and 481 serve receptions for the Firebirds. She helped her club team advance to the next round of Power League play. She is looking for her first college offers.
Emily Silvers, 5’7”, Lawrence Juniors (Lawrence) – Silvers helped the Lawrence Juniors advance to the next round of Power League play with her solid play in Wichita. The Lawrence junior is a high-energy player who starts rallies with her digging and passing skills.
