For the next several weeks, we’ll dive even deeper, taking a closer look at each of the 46 district leagues in the state of Washington and pointing out the players we believe will be worth your attention in the near future.
The North Puget Sound district features high schools from the 3A and 4A classes and the Olympic portion has seven of those. Some of their players with the greatest upside are:
Sharli O’Neil – Outside Hitter – Senior – Kennedy Catholic
Sharli O’Neil is one of the several Washington prospects who will spend the next years of her life playing collegiate beach volleyball as she has already committed to doing so at Boise State. The Kennedy Catholic prospect has the great all-around game that’s typical for beach players, being very efficient at the net with her 5’10” frame but also possessing the backcourt skills that allow her to play as a libero or defensive specialist for the Lancers.

She was a starter in that team and is expected to grow to an even larger role next season. Faull is a prototypical middle-blocker and she uses her 6’1” frame to make an impact for the Lady Bears at the net with her hitting and blocking games. She’s part of prepdig.com’s class of 2022 watchlist.
Marissah Banuelos – Outside Hitter – Senior – Mt. Rainier
Marissah Banuelos is one of those people who born to play sports. Besides having a prominent role with Mt. Rainier’s volleyball team, the 5’7” outside hitter also plays basketball and softball at a very high level for the Rams. She has great physical tools and fantastic technique, two factors that come in handy to her role as an outside hitter.
