We are now going to take a look at the ladies whose passing ability are next level and will be racking up the assists this season. Let’s take a look at the top setters returning.
Seniors
Taliea Singh (Snyder)
Singh was a huge component of Snyder’s success. Her ability to make every pass leaves defenses wondering where she will go with the ball. Every pass is on the money and led for her to have all-division honors as a junior. She finished with 352 assists and 175 digs. Watch out for her to have another major season in her senior campaign.
Rashel Mella (North Bergen)
Mella was the engine of the North Bergen offense last season. She is one who had a solid junior year and got snubbed of mention in the HCIAL. She finished with 163 assists and 28 digs. Watch out for her to be a leader in her senior season and have a monster year.
Darian Constantine (Marist)
Constantine is one who may not have many stats a year ago due to sitting behind the Marist starter. She only recorded 8 assists but this year it’s her turn to step into the fold and lead the Marist squad. She’s a talented player and has all the attributes to have a successful season for Marist. Watch out for her to be one many did not expect to have a monster season.
Alexandra Martins (Kearny)
Like Constantine, she had to sit behind last season. She sat behind one of the best in the conference in Natalia Parafinska. Now, its her turn. Her ability is her athleticism which allows her to pass from all over the court. Kearny should not skip a beat this season with Martins at the helm.
Juniors
Claudia Santos (Union City)
Santos lead Union City in assists with 141 and she’s known for always placing her teammates in scoring opportunities. She added 52 digs as well last season. Her solid year got her as an honorable-mention for division honors. Expect her to have the drive to try and be all-division this season.
These ladies are lethal passers and it does not matter if they are out of position because their passing ability is that good. It can be anywhere on the floor and they have perfect placement for whoever the pass is intended too. Watch for them to be racking up assists this season.
