The 18s weren’t the only loaded division in Omaha this weekend. The 17s had their share of great teams and players to choose from at Union Bank and Trust facilities. We provide insight into how the teams and players from our coverage area performed over the weekend.

KC Power 17-1 

Day 1: 4-2 in sets. ; Day 2: 1-5 in sets

KC Power came out the gates strong on day 1 going undefeated in pool play before losing in straight sets to a very good Premier 17 Gold squad. Day 2 was a tough road, winning only 1 set and losing their final match to local rival Dynasty 17 Black.

Dynasty 17 Black

Day 1: 3-2 in sets, Day 2: 2-4 in sets

17 Black finished second in their pool with a 3-1 record on the first day. In the silver bracket playoff, they dropped a competitive 27-25 match to NE Elite 17 Alpha. Day 2 saw some setbacks, going 0-4 in pool play against 17 Premier Gold and CIS 17 Blue. They rebounded to sweep KC Power in a convincing manner.
