In one of the first tournaments of the 2021 season, one team came out on top in the 18 Open division: No Name VBC 16 Sarah. This incredible team, predominantly Freshmen and Sophomores, went undefeated in this 18 Open division winning 5 matches altogether and claimed the first place position. Although it was a smaller tournament, this team proved that they will be a highly competitive team in regional qualifiers this year by holding their own against older, more experienced players.
The Head Coach for this team is Sarah Chinchar and the Assistant Coach is Douglas Chinchar; together, this husband and wife duo also co-direct No Name Volleyball Club. This family legacy extends to the players on the team with their two daughters, Naomi Chinchar and Lydia Chinchar. Naomi Chinchar is a 5’8” setter and will graduate in 2024. Although she is young, Naomi has an incredible amount of experience in both indoor and beach volleyball. Her setting abilities and leadership on the court continue to impress coaches.
Another outstanding player on this impressive team is Ava Bonin. Ava is a Class of 2024 Freshman and plays primarily in the positions of libero or defensive specialist. With her beach volleyball training, she makes moving on the court look effortless and dominates the back-row defense.
Brooke Green Brooke Green 6'0" | MB Clearwater Central Catholic | 2023 State FL rounds out the front-row offense as an extremely versatile attacker. At 6’0” this Sophomore is able to jump high on blocks and attacks and can make difficult plays from any position in the front row. Her quick, powerful hits are impressive to watch due to the high-level at which she can read and execute a play. As a middle blocker or pin hitter, Brooke can compete with some of the best offensive players.
Other notable players on this team include Maddie Snider Maddie Snider 6'4" | RS Bishop McLaughlin | 2023 State #99 Nation FL , Emma Typrowicz Emma Typrowicz 5'6" | DS/L Clearwater Central Catholic | 2023 State FL , and Kinsley Warbritton, to name a few.
