Here is a look at four players in Pool One to keep an eye on. A three-team pool that includes MAVS KC 17-3, PVA 17-1, and THR33 17-1.
OH, Taylor Stockman Taylor Stockman 5'11" | OH Blue Valley West | 2022 State KS , 5’11”, PVA 17-1 (Blue Valley West) – Stockman is an explosive athlete and had a huge performance at the Class 6A State Championship in 2020. She helped the Jaguars win the state title and finished her junior season with 286 kills and 48 blocks. She will need to come up big in the qualifiers for PVA -17.
MH/RS, Rachel Ziesman, 6’0”, PVA 17-1 (St. James Academy) – Ziesman is a high-energy player who will be leaned on in 2021 to help St. James Academy reach the Kansas State Tournament. During her junior 2020 season, Ziesman finished with 115 kills and 50 digs in varsity play.
OH, Molly Langford Molly Langford 6'0" | OH Spring Hill | 2022 State KS , 6’0”, MAVS KC 17-3 (Spring Hill) – Langford played behind and with some awesome talent at Spring Hill in 2020. Her numbers in restricted playing time included 44 kills and 32 blocks. She will be using the Club season to prove that she can help carry a team’s hitting load.
S, Avery Dempsey, 5’2”, MAVS KC 17-3 (Osawatomie) – Dempsey is a talented athlete who can play multiple positions. She can set or serve as a hitter. Dempsey is won’t be the tallest player in Pool One, but she can jump and communicates well on the court.
