Continue ReadingThe offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the high school volleyball season and have been also hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Fallon Thompson Fallon Thompson 6'0" | OH Grand Oaks | 2022 State #183 Nation TX [2022] 6-0 Outside (HS: Grand Oaks/Club: Houston Juniors/ Verbal: Gonzaga University)
Miss Thompson is currently ranked as the 20th top prospect in the State according to our State Rankings. Fallon is a powerful and exciting player to coach and watch. She is extremely competitive and brings her best every time she steps on the court. She has a heavy arm and a great jumping ability, but is also able to mix her shots up and score using finesse. Her ball control is continually improving, and she has an aggressive serve that can score 3-4 quick points each time she serves. Fallon commands the ball and has confidence about her that is undeniable. She loves high-pressure situations, and handles them better than most sophomores. She plays and competes hard, and expects that of others around her. As a sophomore, she was the District 20-5A MVP, earned Academic All-District, TGCA 5A All-State Team, Montgomery County Co-Offensive Player of the Year, TAVC 5A All-State Team, GHVCA 5A Newcomer of the Year, All-Greater Houston Newcomer of the Year, Vype 5A All-State Second Team, and PrepVolleyball Soph 79 Highest Honorable Mention. She followed all of that up with a junior season where she added to a career total of 848 kills, 61 blocks, 362 digs, and an astonishing 144 aces. She has committed to Gonzaga University and will be a game changer for them in a few years. Meanwhile she will continue to work on her craft and only get better to excel at the next level. Please help us congratulate her on a wonderful accomplishment of realizing her dream of playing college volleyball.
Sydney Whitfield [2022] 5-10 Outside (HS: Concordia Lutheran/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: Liberty University)
Miss Whitfield is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig State Rankings list but that will change once we update the list in a few months. She has the frame that was made for the college game. Her long legs drive into the ground hard as she approaches to the net to attack. Marry that with long arms that extend well at the peak of her attack and you have a premier offensive weapon. She plays for a very great club program in Houston Skyline. Sydney is a true six rotation left side pin hitter who lights it up on the court. She has exceptional ball control skills that keep her on the court for any team she suits up for. She plays high school ball for Concordia Lutheran in the TAPPS division. She just recently committed to Liberty University and will do wonders for their program the moment she steps on the court in two years. We are extremely proud of her choice to realize her dream of playing volleyball at the next level. Please help us congratulate her on her accomplishment.
Kendra Schwarz [2021] 5-10 Middle/Outside (HS: Boerne/Club: SA Force/Signed: Midland College)
Miss Schwarz is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig State Rankings list but that might change once we update the list in a few months. This swing blocking middle plays with a lot of passion as well. She has the ability to hit to both corners, which helps her offensive efficiency. Kendra utilizes her lower body very well at the net loading up to block. We profiled her team back at the beginning of the high school season and she was on fire this year helping them to a 19-5 overall record. As a senior she tallied 150 kills and 53 total blocks. So far during the club season she has helped her San Antonio Force team qualify for the Tour of Texas series. We are excited to announce that she has chosen her college program. She will suit up for Midland College next year and will impact their program immediately when she arrives on campus next year. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing volleyball at the next level.
