Top Performers in the BRPL 16 Elite Division Weekend 1

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Badger Region Power League started in full force this weekend and it was awesome. There was highly competitive volleyball throughout the weekend. It was the opening weekend of play for many of the teams. In many huddles, coaches and athletes expressed excitement and gratitude for even being able to play. At the end of the day, it was an awesome weekend of volleyball. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Only two teams came out undefeated in the 16 Elite division. Check out the top performers from the 16 Elite division of the Badger Region Power League this weekend. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">FC Elite 16 Navy</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This FC team was undefeated this weekend. With the huge hustle of libero <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91878" first="Paige" last="Miller"]</strong> and the efficient work of setters<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="91894" first="Rachel" last="Koss"]</strong> and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="91855" first="Macy" last="Herman"]</strong>, this team was ready for battle. <strong>Payton Chevalie</strong>r showed how dynamic she is on the right side. Middle hitter <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="82915" first="Autumn" last="Flynn"]</strong> had many fast and brutal hits, at one point bouncing the ball over a libero in left-back. It was fun to watch this team work as a unit. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">FC Elite 16 White</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This FC team also did not drop a single set over the course of the weekend.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="91908" first="Monika" last="Stevens"]</strong> was a force to be reckoned with in the front row. She is explosive in her approach and was a go-to hitter for this talented team. This team worked like a well-oiled machine and had a lot of success as a result. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">FC Elite 15 Navy </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This team's only loss went to WI Juniors 15-1 in three sets. This talented FC team had some tough battles against Madison United 16 Red, [program_tooltip program_id='431537' first='Midwest' last='Penguins'] 16 Black, and WI Juniors 16 Elite.<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="122502" first="Bryn" last="Janke"]</strong> is a dynamic athlete on this talented team. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122566" first="Emerson" last="Van Lannen"]</strong> is a consistent and fast setter who picks up quickly on opposing teams weaknesses. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[program_tooltip program_id='431537' first='Midwest' last='Penguins'] 16 Black</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The core of this team has been together for several years and only dropped two matches this weekend. They have a lot of offensive firepower including middle blocker<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="82954" first="Myla" last="Glaser"]</strong> who is hard to block and has a heavy hand on the ball. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91904" first="Aubrey" last="Berlowski"]</strong>, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="82949" first="Mya" last="Trafficante"]</strong>, and <strong>Alex Kiel</strong> are powerful pin hitters who can find great spots on the court. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[program_tooltip program_id='431537' first='Midwest' last='Penguins'] 15 Black </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This Penguins team also only lost two matches this weekend and played some tough opponents. The team is dynamic with several athletes who can play multiple positions. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="122558" first="Ella" last="Skogman"]</strong> is a competitive middle blocker who had key, momentum-changing plays throughout the day. Pin hitters <strong>Ellie Schumacher</strong>, <strong>Abby Bauer</strong>, and <strong>Addy Leffler</strong> played scrappy defense and smart offense throughout the weekend earning points and helping earn the team to wins. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Impact 16 National </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This Impact team is a very dynamic team.<strong> Ella Weber</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="91939" first="Alivia" last="Jeanquart"]</strong> are solid setters who move the ball around very well. They are also scrappy on defense. Libero, <strong>Mya Kapalko</strong> is great at both defense and serve receive. This is a team that is well rounded and should have a very successful season. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Unfortunately, I was unable to see  [program_tooltip program_id='431479' first='Wisconsin' last='Juniors'] 16-1 (5-1 record) Madison United 16 Red (4-2 record), or Milwaukee Sting 16 Silver (4-2 record) over the course of the weekend as I was also coaching this weekend. I hope to be able to watch these teams in weekend 2 of the tournament!</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Congratulations to all teams who played this weekend.
