This is the beginning of the last for some teams in the 17/18s division of the Prep Dig Quad Cities Clash. This will be a great collection of teams from Wisconsin, Iowa, and Illinois. Here are a few Wisconsin athletes from a variety of age divisions to keep an eye on as they look at making a statement this weekend.

Abby SavatskiAbbySavatskiMBMukwonago | 2022StateWI – 2022 – 6’1 – Middle Blocker – Mukwonago – RVA 17 Navy
Savatski is a long, strong middle who can find a way to score points and get great touches on the lock. She will be playing with a really physical and instinctive team with the likes of Peyton ComoPeytonComo5'4" | LWauwatosa West | 2022StateWI (2022 – 5’3 – Libero – Wauwatosa West), Kaitlin BorchertKaitlinBorchert5'10" | OHLake Mills | 2022StateWI (2022 – 5’10 – Outside Hitter – Lake Mills) and Katelyn KitsembelKatelynKitsembel5'5" | LLake Mills | 2022StateWI (2022 – 5’5 – Libero – Lake Mills). This 17s group in general is really deep with gritty defensively strong players.
Cayce Farrell – 2023 – Setter – Waukesha North – RVA 16 Navy
Farrell is another player who would be a great pick-up at the next level. She is a solid all-around athlete who could probably see time at the next level. A solid setter, Farrell led her team with over 200 assists and more than 60 digs. She also has a strong, quick swing from the right side along with all the intangibles needed at the next level.

London Metropulos – 2024 – 6’0 – Right Side Hitter – Wittenberg-Birnamwood – Wisconsin Ice 15 Purple
This Pin Hitter out of Wittenberg-Birnamwood reached over 70 kills in her freshman campaign but will bring quite the swing to score points for this Ice squad. This team consists of the future talent from north-central Wisconsin in Paige GuldPaigeGuld5'3" | SNewman Catholic | 2024WI (2024 – 5’3 – Setter - Newman), Courtney SommerCourtneySommer5'8" | SColumbus | 2024WI (2024 – 5’7 – Setter/Right Side Hitter - Columbus Catholic), Alexa BoerboomAlexaBoerboom5'2" | LNekoosa | 2024WI (2024 – 5’2 – Libero - Nekoosa), Ava KruegerAvaKrueger5'8" | OHMarathon | 2024WI (2024 – 5’8 – Pin Hitter – Marathon), and Ashlyn BarwickAshlynBarwick5'5" | LMarshfield | 2024WI (2024 – 5’5 – Libero – Marshfield) who all made their varsity squads this past fall.
Maria SerbMariaSerbMBStateWI – 2021 – 5’6 – Libero – Catholic Memorial – RVA 18 Navy
Serb is coming off a deep post-season run where she led her team to 2 points away from the DII State Semifinal. She will be joined by another Class of 2021 player from her high school team in Emma Kowalczyk (5’9 – Setter). Serb brings strength to the defense where she can serve- receive, read, predict, and knows how to make big plays under pressure. She will anchor the back row. This squad will be small but physical with some athletes ready to break out and get noticed.
Molly LawlisMollyLawlis5'10" | MBPacelli | 2021StateWI – 2021 – 5’10 – Middle Blocker – Pacelli – Wisconsin Ice 18 National
Lawlis is still uncommitted as to where she will head next year for college, but she would be a really big pick-up at the next level with her overall strength, speed, and capability to score points. She was an essential part of the Pacelli team that won conference every year she has played. She is a dynamic attacker who will team up with an energetic group on her Wisconsin Ice 18 National squad for 2021.
