Upon writing the first installment of this series, I realized there were more 2023s and 2024s worth covering. That should give you an idea of how much young talent was at the event.
Furthermore, even after two articles, this isn’t an exhaustive list. I look forward to covering many more talented young athletes as the club season moves forward.
Now, on with the sequel.
Reagan Barth – 5’11 OH – MAVS KC 16-1 – Class of 2023
Reagan Barth is a left-side hitter who always seems to swing with great rhythm. Her footwork puts her in great position to rise and fire, even when she isn’t allowed to take a full approach. This all-around player also has plenty of passing experience early in her prep career, which will help Barth develop into a complete player in the very near future.
Ella Swindle Ella Swindle 6'2" | S Rock Bridge | 2023 State #6 Nation MO – 6’1 S – KC Power 16-1 – Class of 2023
This setter has it all: touch, tempo, length, and athleticism. Swindle is undoubtedly the focal point of this KC Power team that put together many impressive matches over the weekend. Hitters were in great position time after time as Swindle delivered the ball on a rope. She reads opposing middles well and knows when to attack the ball herself. This is a young talent who is sure to garner plenty of recruiting interest.

Caitlyn Cobb – 5’6 L – KC Power 16-1 – Class of 2023
Good offense usually starts with a good pass, and that’s exactly what Cobb delivers. This libero constantly gives tremendous effort in both serve receive and floor defense, which allows her team’s attack to flourish. Cobb can lay out for a ball while still having absolute control over her movement and platform. Clearly, this KC Power roster has everything necessary for volleyball glory.
Cy Rae Campbell Cy Rae Campbell 5'11" | MB Heritage Christian | 2024 State #45 Nation KS – 5’11 MB – Dynasty 16 Black – Class of 2024
Playing a year up will not stop Campbell from standing out. Good middles are hard to stop, and this is the kind of contribution Campbell brings to this Dynasty team. She is quick off two feet and can swing hard in front of the setter. When blocking, Campbell covers a lot of ground with each step and can fill gaps quickly. Her development will continue to accelerate while playing against so many talented players in the KC metro.
Faith Frame Faith Frame 5'6" | DS/L Papillion-La Vista | 2024 State #167 Nation NE – 5’7 DS/L – Premier Nebraska 15 Gold – Class of 2024
This Premier team has a stellar backcourt, and Frame is a big part of their success. There is no wasted energy or unnecessary movement in Frame’s game. She quickly steps in to fill any gap in the defense. Frame is particularly skilled at retrieving balls that are drifting outside her platform. Terrific ball control will help this group accomplish big things very soon.
Ryan McAleer – 5’5 L – Dynasty 15 Black – Class of 2024
Yes, Dynasty 15 Black has plenty of eye-popping hitters, but don’t lose sight of McAleer in the backcourt. Quick, smart, and accurate with her touches, McAleer repeatedly sets her team up for success. She understands how to use momentum to her advantage and can easily extend her reach to pick up tough balls. This team is elite across the board.
