The Class of 2022 is playing with a sense of urgency as they are continuing their recruiting process and here are a few athletes to note heading into Friday night!
Coaches Attending In-Person or Virtually
Alia Schlimgen Alia Schlimgen 5'5" | DS/L Sauk Prairie | 2022 State WI – Capital 17 Navy (WI)
Libero
Schlimgen has picked up plenty of momentum from this summer after coming back from an injury in 2020. She the Sauk Prairie who finished in the final four of Division 1 in Wisconsin (state’s largest class) and has been a standout at Prep Dig Events in the past. Quick, athletic, and a solid volleyball IQ, Schlimgen will be one who would be a solid pick up with ability and culture at the next level.
No shortage of talented middles here.
34 – Amelia Dugger
26 – Hannah Copeland Hannah Copeland 6'1" | MB Geneseo (IL) | 2022 State IA
68 – Chloe Largent Chloe Largent 6'1" | RS AC/GC | 2022 State IA
83 – Grace Nichols
41 – Autumn Finch Autumn Finch 5'11" | MB Marshalltown | 2022 State IA pic.twitter.com/XPDn09AMBm— Austin Kingsley (@KingsleyATK) December 6, 2020
Hannah Copeland Hannah Copeland 6'1" | MB Geneseo (IL) | 2022 State IA – Iowa Select 17 Mizuno
Middle Blocker
Copeland hopped on the radar last year at the Tour of Iowa Showcase where she is over six feet tall, long, athletic, and brings a physicality to the middle where she can score points and make a major presence as a blocker. I’m looking forward to seeing her improvement over the course of the year and excited what she will be able to continue being a dominant threat out of the middle.
Sylvia Hasz Sylvia Hasz 6'1" | S Rochelle | 2022 IL of @wearevcunited swings the steps into set, great all around skill set and physicality. pic.twitter.com/KvkFcXtRtW

Sylvia Hasz Sylvia Hasz 6'1" | S Rochelle | 2022 IL – VC United (IL)
Setter
Hasz really brings a physical presence to the court as a setter who can be offensive at the net and is a threat blocking too. She has a really solid all around skill set and knows what its like to compete at a high level. With her size and athleticism at the setter position, it can really change the dynamic of a team where the other side of the net will have to respect what she does as a setter knowing what rotation she’s in and if she can attack or dish.
Mia Kunnert – Adrenaline (IA)
Libero
Kunnert plays for Wahlert Catholic out of Dubuque and her club ball for Adrenaline out of Cedar Rapids. She was a key player for Wahlert this fall where she had over 300 digs and is a bit of a hidden gem as a libero. Will be fun to see her compete among other top liberos at the Tour of Iowa Showcase.
Halle Ouellette – Club Ignit 17G (IA)
Libero/DS
Ouellette is coming off a state title for Ankeny High School in Iowa’s largest class (Class 5A). Through her career she has been part of a winning culture and a strong tradition. The CIS 17G squad is full of strong athletes out of Central Iowa which will definitely sneak up in the Iowa Region.
Big block by Claire Ammeraal Claire Ammeraal 6'0" | S Madison LaFollette | 2022 State #179 Nation WI as Madtown fights back against Sterling down 18-14 in set one pic.twitter.com/wq8aoYbbyj

Claire Ammeraal Claire Ammeraal 6'0" | S Madison LaFollette | 2022 State #179 Nation WI – Capital 17 Adidas (WI)
Setter/Right Side
Ammeraal might be one of the top available prospects out of the Class of 2022 at this event where she is extremely versatile in her skill set. Just shy under six feet tall, Ammeraal is a left handed setter where everytime she jumps she poses a threat to score. A Junior at Madison LaFollette High School, there were no school sponsored sports for Madison Public Schools and Ammeraal is still waiting to play her first “real” contest since March of 2020. She’s a competitor, she’s hungry, and would be a major steal at the next level.
