This is why I am going to try to feature some players who need to be on your radar. Let’s take a look at some liberos that belong in the limelight!
Adriana Studer

DS/L
Lake Country Lutheran | 2022
State
#187
Nation
WI
– 5’8 – Lake Country Lutheran – Milwaukee Sting 17 Gold
Studer was a defensive specialist for her 2018 Division 3 State Championship Team. She led the team with 15 digs per match and 31 aces in the shortened 2020 season. Studer is just one of those players her teams can depend on to keep them in system and make even the toughest plays look easy.
Kiki Vandenbrook Kiki Vandenbrook DS/L Edgewood | 2022 State WI – 2022 – 5’8 – Libero – Edgewood – Balance 17’s (WI)
Vandenbrook is the libero you need to make all of the routine plays. She is deliberate and has good court vision. Vendenbrook is also one who has steadily been improving. She has good ball control with her platform, and you can see her communicate and work with her setters. Vandenbrook is inching up on the radar and would be a good one to have at the next level. She would be an enhancement to your culture with her ability to work hard, take the lead, and be a great teammate. You won’t see a single point go by that Vandenbrook doesn’t get excited about. She is the spark.
Alia Schlimgen

Sauk Prairie | 2022
State
WI
– 2022 – Libero – Sauk Prairie –
Capital Volleyball Academy
Schlimgen is quick-thinking with great movement to the ball. She has experience playing under pressure after competing for Sauk Prairie in the State Semi-final match in November. Schlimgen is a game-changing libero who truly takes charge of the back court. She is willing to work hard, a great communicator and teammate. Schlimgen reads the play of the ball well, and you can tell she really loves playing the game.
Mia DePrenger – 2022 – 5’3 – Libero – Iowa City – Hot Feet Fire Dragons
DePrenger is a scrappy libero who is bound to take control as a senior leader in the back court next fall. She gets a ton of great touches and is solid on serve-receive.

Appleton North | 2022
State
WI
– 5’8 – Appleton North – Milwaukee Sting 17 Gold
Miller plays with a ton of grit, has great court awareness, and you can tell she plays sand doubles when you see her strategize. She is athletic, scrappy and could have led her Appleton North squad to a Division 1 State Title this past fall had they competed in the WIAA.
