It’s a squad that will have players competing for varsity spots at their respective high schools when their sophomore seasons begin in 2021.
Here is a look at three players whose skills were on display at the Momentum Madness event on February 20.
OH, Lillian McIntosh, 5’5”, (Manhattan) – McIntosh had one of the more productive performances in the 15-1 squad’s opening match. The Manhattan High School prospect finished with seven digs, four serve receptions, and two kills in the opening match of Pool B play. McIntosh has the potential to be a six-rotation player as she has both solid defensive and hitting skills.
OH, Eve McComb, 5’9”, (Rock Creek) – McComb is a diverse multi-position player. She plays middle hitter for her club team but could be relied on to play outside at Rock Creek. She finished with three kills and three digs in the opening match at the Momentum Madness Tournament. She has a solid powerful serve and finished with two aces. Even though she is young she has an athletic frame and could get stronger and faster.
L, Taelor Goff, 5’2”, (Manhattan) – Goff is a solid libero. She had a team-high seven serve receptions to go along with five digs in the first match of the day. Goff is a solid passer and communicates well with her teammates. She played the best of the three 15U liberos at the event.
