There were plenty of promising talents at the Michigan Top 250 Expo a week ago in Warren.
The Class of 2024 featured a lot of exciting setters and defenders that want to take the next step in their game.
Setters
Katelyn Koch
Katelyn Koch, South Lyon East/Michigan Elite – Koch had great footwork and court vision. She would always get herself to the proper spot in order for her team to succeed. Her sets were accurate and gave her hitters a high chance to succeed.
Jacquelyn Scheiber, Riverview/Michigan Elite – Scheiber was one of many explosive players in the 2024 field. She showed great athleticism from the setter position and also displayed strong hitting skills. Her explosiveness to play above the net made her very difficult to defend as a setter and hitter.
Kaitlyn Schram, Hartland/Legends – Schram showcased a lot of adaptability, working well with the ever-changing passers and hitters. She consistently found good positioning to get off a solid set and put her hitters in position to succeed.

Avery WoodardAveryWoodard5'7" | SMarysville | 2024MI, Marysville/Michigan Elite – Woodard did a good job of adjusting and correcting throughout the event. She learned from her mistakes and quickly got a feel for her hitters. When she was on her game, she was catching a lot of eyes.
Liberos/Defensive Specialists
Gianna BenderGiannaBender5'4" | LHudsonville | 2024MI, Hudsonville/FaR Out – Bender was making plays all over the floor and she had a very competitive look on her face. She wanted to take every dig and every serve. That kind of competitive fire pairs well with her athleticism. Bender also showed good corrections throughout the night.

Kiley GallagherKileyGallagher5'5" | LClarkston | 2024MI, Clarkston/Michigan Elite – Gallagher was an energetic player that was looking to do a little bit of everything. Her defensive play was on point, but she also showed the ability to put a good swing on the ball from the back row.
Hailey Green, North Branch/North Branch VC – Green was really giving her all, throwing her body all around the court. Despite standing just 5’0”, Green played much bigger than her size due to her effort. She really elevated her game during the scrimmage portions.
Ella Jensen, Lakeview/Michigan Elite – Jensen was able to dig out some tough attacks during the event. She also adapted well to the changing speeds of the hitters she came across. Jensen was very competitive and eager to improve.
Greta McKeeGretaMcKee5'6" | LNorthville | 2024MI, Northville/Michigan Elite – McKee also was another solid athlete that showcased a wide variety of skills throughout the night. As a libero, she continued to come through with tough digs. Her serve receive was on point as well.
Katelyn Orlowski, Livonia Franklin/Michigan Elite – Orlowski just was a solid all-around athlete. She moved well to the ball defensively, but also displayed some nice swings in the back row during hitting drills.
Paige RecklingPaigeReckling5'2" | LRiverview | 2024MI, Riverview/Michigan Elite – Reckling was very consistent with her passing throughout the night. Time after time, Reckling calmly handled the difficult attacks that came her way. She put herself in perfect position and fed the ball smoothly to her setter.
