Continue ReadingWe would love to officially welcome the 2024 class to the Prep Dig State Rankings. We are going to restart this series that we began this past spring with the freshman class of 2024. We have covered some players in the Central Texas area before, but we are back here again as they have tons of talented players on our list. We are extremely excited to cover this class now that they have had their high school season complete. We have been very active in communicating with College Recruiting Directors all over the state so that we can bring the best to the eyes of the college coaches we have in our database that read our articles. So without further ado, here are a few more of the standouts from the 2024 class from the Austin and San Antonio area.
Campbell Bartley Campbell Bartley 5'11" | S Austin | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-11 Setter (HS: Austin/Club: Austin Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Campbell as we currently have her ranked as the 17th best prospect overall in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a tall setter with amazing posture from the Austin area. She stands very tall at the net awaiting the pass and doesn’t telegraph where she is going to set which helps keep the defense off-balance. Miss Bartley has a long release that is very consistent. She uses those long arms to help her push the ball across to the opposite side of the net with ease. She showcases the ability to set off of one foot in emergency situations and also well balanced on two feet in stationary in-system plays. She also plays in the beach volleyball circuit and it should help her overall play on the court. Please help us welcome her to the State Rankings as we are excited to cover her this club season and for the future.
Samantha Valadez Samantha Valadez 5'9" | S San Antonio Brandeis | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-9 Setter (HS: Brandeis/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Samantha as we currently have her ranked as the 22nd best overall prospect in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays at Alamo, who is a famed club program in the San Antonio area and is known nationally in every age group. Sam is a gifted setter who plays at Brandeis High School. She showcases some very exciting defensive skills in right back. Just when you think the tip/off-speed ball is going to score, Sam comes out of nowhere showing some great defensive range to pick it up and keep her team in the rally. I like how fiery she is in both celebrating with her teammates and also motivating them before the play begins. Her setting is what put her on our radar. Her team has a dynamic offense because she is able to be accurate with her setting location. We are excited to have her in the Prep Dig Family and are excited to watch her progress on the court. Please welcome her to the Prep Dig family and congratulate her on being ranked with the top players in the great state of Texas.
Isabella Rodriguez Isabella Rodriguez 5'11" | OH SA Antonian | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-11 Outside (HS: Antonian/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Bella as we currently have her ranked as the 25th best prospect overall in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. Bella truly stands out as an elite attacker at the net for both her high school program and club program. She plays high school for Antonian Prep and club for Alamo. As a freshman on her varsity team she amassed 172 kills, 10 blocks, 43 digs, and 16 aces. They will continue to be a force in the private school sector with weapons such as Bella on the pins. She is able to play at any position along the net in the front row. Both programs use her as a six rotation player and she is able to do that due to her exceptional ball control as a passé/defender. But her bread and butter happens to be her elite arm. She can score in a variety of ways by hitting hard cross or turning on the ball on the left pin and going straight down the line. Both are done with precision and power. We are excited to cover her for the future and can’t wait to see her progress. Please welcome her to the Prep Dig family and congratulate her on being ranked amongst the best in the state.
