Here is a look at four players from the Saints squad to watch in Pool 4 at Wichita Hoops.
MB, Taylor Hawkins, 6’1”, (Shawnee Heights) – Hawkins is a big-time blocker from Shawnee Heights. She has committed to continue her playing career at Pittsburg State University. She is tall, has a long reach, and will only improve her skills.
RS, Miya Silvers, 5’7”, (Olathe North) – Silvers saw limited action in her senior season for Olathe North, but has been playing well for the Topeks Saints. Silvers has a solid swing and has committed to play at Fort Scott Community College.
S, Emma McKinsey, 5’8”, (Royal Valley) – McKinsey is a solid setter who has yet to commit. She has nice passing skills and communicates well on the court. She tops out as an NAIA or JUCO talent.
L, Alyssa Dinkel, 5’4”, (Hayden) – Hayden struggled in 2020, but Dinkel played well and has carried that solid play into the club season. Dinkel is another player for the Saints who have yet to commit to a college program. Dinkel plays with high energy and is able to start scoring rallies with her defensive skills.
The Topeka Saints are the No. 3 seed in Pool Four and will have their work cut out for them with PVA 18-1, Dynasty 18-1, and Fenix 18-1 in their pool.
