For the Class of 2025, the West has a lot of top names on the radar, with some coming from FaR Out Volleyball Club.
Here’s a spotlight on some of FaR Out’s 2025 names to keep an eye on.
Navea Gauthier – Outside Hitter
A 6’0” outside that can touch 10’2”, Gauthier is already proving to be a handful for her opponents at the club level. She’s been dominant for a FaR Out 14 Black team that has picked up some impressive tournament titles already in 2021. Gauthier already has elite-level hitting skills. She is working hard on her backcourt skills now to try and bring her overall game to the next level.
Abby Pickard – Setter
A talented hitter is often only as good as her setter and Pickard is a future star at the position. Her play has allowed Gauthier to really dominate her opponents. Pickard stands 5’8” and has a long wingspan to help her create a lot of great hitting opportunities for her teammates. Pickard has a high court IQ already and has a great sense for the offense her team runs. Her defensive skills have a lot of promise as well.
Lexi Armstrong – Setter/Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist
Obviously Armstrong is a great athlete, because she can be used anywhere on the floor. She’s currently playing the right side for 14 Black, but her athleticism allows her to excel at multiple positions. Standing 5’6”, Armstrong plays with a lot of explosiveness and focus. She can be a team’s top passer, but has the touch and hand-eye coordination to be a team’s top setter or hitter. She combines all the physical talents with a great vision for the floor as well.
Kamryn Tifft – Middle Hitter
A 5’10” middle that has made a lot of strides in the 2021 club season, Tifft is a prospect that is sure to climb up rankings boards in the next few years. Tifft is a hard-working middle, which has allowed her to be a consistent presence for 14 Black. She finishes well and has been a great transition option for the team. The improvement in her game has come in her court vision and blocking. Tifft is getting her hands on a lot of swings from opponents and her impact on the defensive side is really what is raising her stock.
