These players have stood out and are gaining some steam to make the Prep Dig Rankings. Let’s look at some of the names for the Class of 2022.
Gretchen Haray – MB/OH, Demarest
Haray is an impactful player for Demarest. Her ability in the middle was on display especially with her length causing problems where she recorded 55 blocks. She’s growing into her game and has the ability to create angles for her kills and great anticipation to impact the game defensively.
Jacqueline Fortis – MB, Absegami
Fortis is one to keep an eye on this season. Last year, she showcased her offensive prowess with 97 kills in the middle. She compliments that with a solid serve. She did not rack up as many blocks statistically but she was impacting the opposing hitters. She is the leader and will be the number 1 option this season.
Christine Infantolino – OH, Caldwell
Infantolino split the duties on the outside for Caldwell as a sophomore. She still showcased her potential with 86 kills and 126 digs. She’s a very versatile player and has the ability to play multiple positions. She is now the focal point of the Caldwell offense, don’t be surprised if she has a monster year with her live arm.
Samantha Olander – MB/OH, Roxbury
Olander has all the tools. She has outstanding volleyball instincts, a strong right arm, and excellent finesse and touch at the net. Watch out as last year, she recorded 175 kills, 28 aces, 12 blocks. She will be a force to be reckoned with in the NJAC as she continues to mature, expect greatness from her.
