It’s time to recognize our final group of players. Due to a smaller number of players in MB/RS positions, we have decided to combine the list. Let’s take a look at the top Opposites/Middle Blockers players.
Jessica Spierenburg Jessica Spierenburg 6'0" | MB Ramsey | 2022 State NJ (Ramsey; Digs)
Spierenburg is the only MB on our 2022 rankings but she comes in as the fourth best recruit overall! Last year, she had an amazing volleyball season at Ramsey. She slammed 137 kills, 56 aces, 29 blocks, and 26 assists for the Rams who finished the year at 20-4 and captured their league title for the first time in over a decade. She is tall with great length, aggressively athletic, has a super high VBIQ, and can put the ball down from anywhere on the court with authority. She is going to be a part of the conversation for the best player in the 2022 class after this year without a doubt.
Nathaly Flores Nathaly Flores RS Union City | 2022 State NJ (Union City)
Flores was the heartbeat of Union City leading the way and finishing with 184 kills. Her athleticism makes her dominat and a leading candidate to be player of the year in the division and potentially the conference. Flores is one to keep an eye on this year. Her primary position is on the RS but you will see her lineup as an outside hitter and even sometimes in the middle.
