These athletes come from various backgrounds but share the same environment and talents when joined together on the court.
Zaria Keys- Kenwood Academy
Keys is a rising player as she is starting to develop her skills in her high school career. Keys is a setter for her high school and her club team and has all the athletic abilities that coaches are looking for when it comes to college recruitment. Key is swift on the floor and has fantastic communication skills. As a setter, she is soft with her touch, but has the ability to set up a powerful attack on the ball, allowing for her team to score points. Keys is going to be a player to watch in the upcoming seasons and one to keep eyes on as she continues to master her craft.
Elle Mcgee- Lindblom Math & Science Academy
Mcgee is going to be one to keep an eye on as she develops her skills throughout her high school and club seasons. Mcgee is currently playing as a libero for her club team and for her high school team, and continues to show her athleticism and aggression on the court. Mcgee is a defensive specialist, allowing her to move quick on the court and has the ability to communicate well across the floor. Though Mcgee is a back row player, she is a key component to her team, because she keeps the flow of the motion of the ball. Mcgee has great ball-handling skills, but is continuing to better her craft on the court and throughout her high school career.
Nailah Hicks- Lindblom Math & Science Academy
Hicks is an upcoming OH out of Lindblom High School and 360 Sports Academy of Chicago. Hicks is one to be watched throughout her high school career and her upcoming summer club season. Hicks is attentive and quick on her feet when it comes to the ball being active in play. Hicks is able to move with the flow of the ball and able to communicate with her teammates on the court. She developing and perfecting her skills as she is only a freshman and is able to show her skills learned on the court. Hicks displays excellent athleticism with her ability to move with the ball, and her ability to react quickly. Her strike of the ball is strong, but has the ability to get stronger and for her to be consistent on the court. Hicks is going to be an athlete to keep an eye on during the course of her high school and club season career.
Sanyi Taylor- St. Joseph High School
Taylor is an athlete that is going to bring attention to her as she develops into her craft as her athletic career continues. Taylor currently plays as a right-side hitter for both her club team and for her high school team. Taylor is an athlete that has stellar athletic abilities, such as being versatile on the court and has the ability to play as a backup for her setter on the offense. Her ability to move across the court and dive for the ball is very quick and sharp, which is going to be something to watch as her skills are set to sharpen. She is a defensive line up attacker and definitely is going to be a player to watch on your radar.
Verdit Szmulewitz- Kenwood Academy
Szmulewitz is another right-side hitter that is going to be one to watch as her career is only beginning, but off to a great start. Szmulewitz is not only a right-side hitter, but servs as a defense specialist for both her high school and club team. She is a quick and attentive player on the court, which is an important skill to have as she is needed to be quick on her feet in the case she needs to dive for the ball or off set a strike on the ball. Her strike is strong, but she is still developing into a strong and consistent player. She is quick when it comes to her digs and is able to work very well with her middle hitters, making her teamworking skills up to par regardless the situation that they are in athletically. Szmulewitz is going to be one to watch for the upcoming seasons and is only expected to grow into a stellar player.
