Mia Loyd Mia Loyd 5'6" | S Terre Haute South | 2024 State IN , 5-7, S, Terre Haute South HS
The glue that kept this team together to finish near the top 20 in the USA division was clearly the most athletic Circle had to offer against other bigger and stronger 1s teams from throughout the region and country. I especially liked Mia’s willingness to do the dirty work in order for her team to succeed. She can run a 5-1 with ease, takes up space on the block, and has nice hands that can set any tempo.
Madeline Lynch Madeline Lynch 6'1" | RS Plainfield | 2024 State IN , 6-0, RS/S, Plainfield HS
I list both positions here because she played both at some time during the weekend. In a pinch, Madeline’s size can help her go get balls that are passed tightly and either put them away or set a teammate. Additionally, she’s terminal on the right pin, and can hammer with the best of them. This kid is a best-of-both-worlds player, and projects to be solid in both positions moving forward.
Sheridan Young Sheridan Young 5'7" | DS/L Center Grove | 2024 State IN , 5-7, DS/L, Center Grove HS
CC 15-2’s ’bro was in charge of all things passing, whether it was on defense or in serve receive. I was impressed with how much ground she had to cover to make up for the other primary passers and defenders on this weekend. She’s capable of playing either left back or middle back, and I look forward to her progress as she matures.
