Over the next few weeks, we’ll take some time to honor their efforts and use this space to provide a brief recap of how the season played out in each of those districts and to highlight the players who earned all-league team nominations and MVP awards for their excellent performances.
1A South Central
Zillah was the most successful team in the district, securing a perfect campaign of five wins and no losses. Naches Valley and La Salle also got to win five matches, but lost two and three respectively, while Connell ended the season with a 3-1 win record.
MVP
Alyssa Radke – Connell – Middle Blocker – 2021
Alyssa Radke has been one of the dominant forces in the division and her final high school season just reflected that. The 6’1” middle blocker was a stud for Connell at the net and used her fantastic speed to do a great job on offense and defense. After ending her time with Eagles, she will join the Eastern Washington University at the collegiate level.
