Callie Teff – 5’10 – Pin Hitter – Foley – OMG 18s (MN)
Teff is long and really natural at the net. She can put up a solid block but provides a wicked swing in order to score from either pin. With Teff and setter Makayla Balder, connecting, it really keeps a defense on edge.
Emma Walkowiak – 5’6’ – Libero/Setter – Oconto
Walkowiak is a setter turned defensive player, which is more common than you might think. It’s all about ball control, and that’s what Walkowiak does best. In the Blue Devil’s shortened season, she recorded 244 digs and 10 aces en route to a 20-3 record.
Clare Aulik – 5’7 – Outside Hitter – Antigo – Wisconsin Ice 18 Purple
Aulik ended her high school career with a Great Northern Conference Player of the Year nod. She is a steady and consistent 6-rotation outside. Aulik is a hidden gem from the north who deserves a look from some of Wisconsin’s many Division 3 programs.
Katie Hildenbrandt – 6’1 – Middle Blocker – McFarland
Hildebrandt works hard every point and just gets better and better. Her volleyball IQ has grown significantly and her presence at the net is undeniable.
Maria Serb – 5’6 – Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist/Setter – Catholic Memorial – RVA 18 Navy
Serb is a smart and crafty hitter who uses all the different tools in her arsenal. She can also pack a real punch with her swing. She usually works as a defensive specialist or setter for her high school, but I got to see her taking a lot of swings in the Dells.
Jaeda Gieser – 5’10 – Middle Blocker – Waterloo West – Smash Elite 18 Black (IA)
Watching Gieser run a quick tempo is so fun when she connects with her setter. Her ability to control the net with an extensive reach really creates a tough mismatch for the other side of the net. Gieser explodes from the court and takes a fast swing. The best part is that she is a pro at working the sharp angles. Smash has a really physical and tenacious team with plenty of solid athletes out of Iowa.
Nicole Norton – 5’9 – Setter – Southern Door – One Wisconsin
Norton was a huge asset for Southern Door and showed a tremendous amount of athletic ability. She does a great job of seeing the court and using it to help her hitters become more effective.
Committed But Still Underrated
Brianna Geurts – 6’0 – Middle Blocker – FC Elite – Committed to UW-Milwaukee
Geurts is a gritty, dynamic attacker who was a key piece on De Pere’s squad for years and soon she will make an impact in the Horizon League. She is a fast and impactful hitter from anywhere along the net.
Lily Robinson – Outside Hitter – Eau Claire Air 18 Blue – Committed to University of St. Francis (IN)
Robinson was a gamechanger on the outside for Eau Claire Air 18 Blue. She is athletic, has solid ball contact, and puts some oomph behind her swing. This Indiana native has a big heavy swing that commands respect.
Lauren Borchardt – 5’8 – Outside Hitter – Manitowoc Lincoln – Committed to St Norbert
Borchardt is a big-time flyer who can really pack a punch. She can handle a high volume of sets and terminate. Borchardt is a hardworking and athletic 6-rotation outside who is a great pick-up for St. Norbert.
