Here are four 2023 16th Region players due for breakout seasons.
Sydney Clark (2023) is an opposite from Ashland High School. Clark made an impact for Ashland as a sophomore and is poised to take on a larger role for team during the 2021 high school volleyball season. A player with solid jumping ability, Clark can produce both on offense and on defense.
Sophia Gifford (2023) is an opposite/defensive specialist from Boyd County High School. Versatile, Gifford can hit from both the front row and the back row. Gifford is a reliable player who contributed in multiple categories during the 2020 high school volleyball season, displaying the ability to dig and pursue well.
Tori Hester (2023) is a setter/outside hitter from Russell High School. With a diverse skill set, Hester is able to excel at multiple positions. Hester is a strong communicator who runs the offense efficiently and identifies blockers consistently.
Elizabeth Rigsby (2023) is a right side hitter from Raceland High School. Rigsby was a key contributor for Raceland as a sophomore and is set to thrive during the 2021 high school volleyball season. Agile, Rigsby elevates well at the net and digs for quick attacks routinely.
Alexis Williams (2023) is a middle blocker from Fleming County High School. Reliable, Williams delivered for Fleming County throughout the 2020 high school volleyball season and is set to take on a larger role as a junior. Williams is a productive blocker who uses quick attacks on offense regularly.
