It was an interesting week with several distinct upsets that may have knocked out top squads. However, several of these top 10 teams faced off against one another to gauge where they are. Let’s take a look at this week’s list.
- Christian Brothers
- Scotch Plains-Fanwood
- Southern
- Old Bridge
- Jackson Memorial
- Hillsborough
- Fair Lawn
- Hunterdon Central
- Kearny
- West Milford
The top four squads held their position after all of them had a perfect week even though the squads were tested at least once. The real change on the top 10 takes place at 5 after a couple dramatic upsets with Jefferson and Livingston both struggling to fall out of the top 10.
The team that made the biggest jump was Jackson Memorial even though they suffered two defeats this past week. Both were against Southern and the squad showcased their ability to compete with them and honestly should have probably split the matchups which led me to move them to #5. They were undefeated before their defeats to Southern.
The two new squads to enter the fold were Fair Lawn and West Milford. Both teams had perfect weeks and both were just on the outside looking in last week. Fair Lawn had the win of the week defeating Kearny who was in the top 10 last week. West Milford rallied against Ridge last week to move in as well.
Other squads like Hillsborough moved up two spots, Kearny moved up one spot while Hunterdon Central dropped two spots.
