As many as 728 teams are expected to compete in the 15 divisions for these three age groups and the state of Texas will, of course, be well-represented in the tournament with more than 70 teams expected to make the trip to Nevada.
During the next few weeks, we’ll use this space to present the Lone Star state representatives in the tournament, recapping their performances during the club season and highlighting some of their top prospects.
Alamo 15 Premier
Alamo 15 Premier has some of the greatest talent in the state of Texas in the age group and will represent the storied Alamo Volleyball Club out of San Antonio in the 15 Open division in Las Vegas. Make sure you have them on your watch list as this team has a stellar club season under head coach Debby Gonzalez, registering 59 wins and just 17 losses. Some of their several victories include the Alamo City Warm Up, the Countdown City Classic, the River City Championship, the Rodeo Kick Off and the CTPL.

Grace Carroll Grace Carroll 6'5" | RS Cornerstone | 2024 State #21 Nation TX has everything a coach could ask from a right sider. She’s 6’5”, lefty-handed, has a lot of power on her arm and great technique. And all of that at the age of 15. She’s Alamo 15 Premier’s best player and hands down one of the best in the entire state as we have her ranked second in our 2024 Prep Dig State Rankings. As with any 2024 player, Carroll still has some to improve on her offensive game but she’s already an extremely efficient hitter from the right and has registered 123 kills on her freshman high school season with Alamo Heights. She can set at a very high level too.
Samantha Valadez Samantha Valadez 5'9" | S San Antonio Brandeis | 2024 State TX – Setter – HS: Brandeis – 2024
Samantha Valadez Samantha Valadez 5'9" | S San Antonio Brandeis | 2024 State TX runs a fast and efficient offense for Alamo 15 Premier. The 5’9” setter is one of the most talented in the entire state, ranking 23rd on our 2024 Prep Dig State Rankings, and had great options to work with on her club team. Valadez is very technical and has the traits of a true leader, something always important for setters. She’s also an outstanding defender, another layer of value to her game.
Isabella Rodriguez Isabella Rodriguez 5'11" | OH SA Antonian | 2024 State TX – Outside Hitter/Right Sider – HS: Antonian Prep – 2024
A six-foot outside hitter, Isabella Rodriguez Isabella Rodriguez 5'11" | OH SA Antonian | 2024 State TX adds a lot of power to Alamo 15 Premier’s offense at the pin. She can also play as a right sider and, regardless of the position, is a great option in transition due to her tremendous reach and intelligence to make the right play in difficult conditions. Her first high school season with Antonian Prep, in which she registered 172 kills, 43 digs, 16 aces and ten blocks, was a good example of the impact she can have in teams.
