Players to Watch
Kyleene Filimaua – Outside Hitter – HS: North Creek – 2023
A real star in the making, Kyleene Filimaua has secured a commitment from one of the top colleges in the country in Florida State to play beach and indoor even before she started her high school career. A 6’1” outside hitter with the touch of a setter and the quickness of a libero, Filimaua can do it all in a volleyball court and is a generational talent. She joined NPJ this year from DaKine and rapidly increased the team’s level with her outstanding all-around game.
Ellie Marble – Outside Hitter – HS: La Conner – 2023
NPJ Seattle 17 National has no problems at all in the pins as Ellie Marble is just as much of a talented player as Filimaua. A six-footer, Marble also plays basketball and track and field and she brings the footwork of the former and the muscular strength of the latter to combine with her fantastic ball control in a volleyball court. Marble’s high school career with La Conner has been nothing short of stellar as in two seasons she totaled 578 kills, 524 digs, 311 passes and 83 aces.
Adele Holland – Setter – HS: Puyallup – 2021
Adele Holland’s presence in the team might be overlooked because of the great hitters she has around her but the truth is that the 5’8” setter does a great job in maximizing their skills. Holland has a great touch and is extremely intelligent with her ball distribution. She ended her high school career with Puyallup with 2,740 assists, 651 digs and 86 aces and has committed to play for Western Washington at the collegiate level.
