West Harrison lost seven of eleven varsity players to graduation this year. They are listed below.
Haley Koch (OH)
Koch played in all 74 sets for the Hawkeyes in 2020 and had 27 assists, a team-high 1.5 KPS(112), a team-high 34 total blocks, a team-high 2.9 DPS(211), and a team-high 49 service aces with an 86.7% serve efficiency.
Kayla Lynch (MH)
Lynch played in all 74 sets for the Hawkeyes in 2020 and had 2 assists, 66 kills, 22 total blocks, 58 digs, and 7 service aces with a 92.5% serve efficiency.
Maren Evans (RS)
Evans played in all 74 sets for the Hawkeyes in 2020 and had 1.4 APS(106), 54 kills, 18 total blocks, and 2.3 DPS(171).
Haleigh Rife (OH)
Rife played in all 74 sets for the Hawkeyes in 2020 and had 2 assists, 23 kills, 1 total block, 2.0 DPS(151), and 24 service aces with an 89.1% serve efficiency.
Emily McIntosh (OH)
McIntosh played in 69 sets for the Hawkeyes in 2020 and a team-high 2.4 APS(165), 51 kills, 8 total blocks, 1.3 DPS(88), and 24service aces with an 88.9% serve efficiency.
Lanie Gustafsen (MH)
Also graduating for the Hawkeyes is McKenna Waldron (RS),
RETURNING PLAYERS:
Madison Lautrup (2022, OH)
Lautrup played in 70 sets for the Hawkeyes in 2020 and had 1 assist, 21 kills, 4 total blocks, 1.4 DPS(96), and 15 service aces with a 94.8% serve efficiency.
Kenna Heisterkamp (2022, OH)
Heisterkamp played in 71 sets for the Hawkeyes in 2020 and had 15 assists, 3 kills, 1 total block, 61 digs, and 10 service aces with a 94.0% serve efficiency.
Also returning will be Kali Peasley (2022, OH), Lily Gustafsen (2022, OH), and Grace Thomas (2023). In essence, the Hawkeyes are losing seven players but still have 5 that remain from their roster for 2020 and at least two of them have plenty of experience on the court. They have a lot to replace so this is probably going to be a rebuilding year for them. Hopefully, there are freshmen not listed anywhere yet and it won’t be as hard as it could be for them to reorg their team. Good luck in 2021, Hawkeyes!
