The tournament marked the end of the club season and was attended by nine teams from the Evergreen state in the 15s age-group.
These teams competed in three different divisions and here’s a quick breakdown of their performances in Nevada.
15 American division
Seattle Jrs 15 (46th – 3 wins, 7 losses)
The only Washington representative in the 15 American division, Seattle Jrs 15 finished 46th in the 64-team tournament with three wins and seven losses. They secured two of their three wins on pool play, against Midwest United 15 Navy and Victory 15 Elite Green but lost on their first Challenge Round match. They reacted to beat SPVC 15-1 Adidas, but were ultimately downed by Five: 1 15-Black in their final match.
15 National division
DaKine Warriors 15 Surf (11th – 5 wins, 5 losses)
The team from the Tacoma area was Washington’s top performer in the 15s age group as it finished 11th in their division with a 5-5 win record. DaKine Warriors 15 Surf secured three wins in five pool play matches and moved from Round 2 with another win. The team lost its Challenger Round match and ended on Silver Bracket A, where it defeated Mintonette Sports -m.51 but fell to Az Epic 15-Elite Mike L.

15 Patriot division
NW Jrs. 15 UA Black (40th – 5 wins, 5 losses)
The team out of Bellevue was the best among the six Washington sides to compete in the 71-team division, finishing 40th with five wins and five losses. NW Jrs. 15 UA Black didn’t start the tournament well, losing all three of their Round 1 poo play matches but bounced back to win two out of three on Round 2 and all two in Round 3. The team defeated fellow Washingtonians SIVBC Lightning 15-2 before falling to SF Tremors 15 Tigers to end their participation in the tournament.
SIVBC Lightning 15-2 (43rd – 5 wins, 4 losses)
The team from the Sudden Impact club from Bellevue was one of three from Washington to rank 43rd with a 5-4 campaign in Las Vegas. SIVBC Lightining 15-2 secured just one win in three Round 1 pool play matches but came back stronger for Rounds 2 and 3, capturing four victories in the next five matches. Their run came to an end by the hands of NW Jrs. 15 UA Black, a team they had defeated on pool play.

PSVBA 15 Pat (43rd – 5 wins, 4 losses)
Representing the Puget Sound Volleyball Academy out of Tacoma, this team also finished 43rd with five wins and four losses. PSVBA 15 Pat won only one of three Round 1 pool play matches but won three in a row to cruise past Round 2. After securing one win and one loss on Round 3, the team ended its participation in the tournament with a close setback to Katy United 15 Adidas.
SIVBC Typhoon 15-1 (43rd – 5 wins, 4 losses)
Another team from the Sudden Impact club to appear in the division, SIVBC Typhoon 15-1 ended with the exact same campaign of Lightning 15-2 – five wins and four losses to rank 43rd. The team had an inconsistent start, losing three out of five matches in Rounds 1 and 2 of pool play but then won three in a row before being upset by Chicago Elite 15 Elite in their last match in the tournament.

NPJ Seattle 15 National (50th – 4 wins, 7 losses)
The team from the Seattle area settled for a 50th-place finish after winning four of their 11 matches in Las Vegas. NPJ Seattle 15 National didn’t win a set in their first four matches but bounced back to win a tie-breaker against City Beach Black 15-1. After one win and two losses in their next three matches, the team registered two-straight victories before losing to Brazos Valley 15 National in their last match.

NW Jrs. 15 UA Blue (61st – 3 wins, 7 losses)
The Northwest Juniors club out of Bellevue also had two teams in the division and NW Jrs. 15 UA Blue finished 61st with three wins and seven losses. The team didn’t secure a win in Las Vegas until their sixth match, when they downed fellow Washingtonians Kraken VC 15 – Reef, but then won three in a row, upsetting Silver State 15 Brad and Epic 15-Roni too. Their farewell match ended in a 2-1 loss to Forza 1West 15 Under Armour.
Kraken VC 15 – Reef (71st – 11 losses)
Kraken VC 15-Reef finished dead last in the division and was one of two teams to not win any matches. The team from Auburn raised their game near the end of the tournament, when they took Rage 15 Josh and Epic 15-Roni to three sets in their third-last and final matches.
