The tournament marked the end of the club season and was attended by seven teams from the Evergreen state in the 17s age-group.
These teams competed across four different divisions and here’s a quick breakdown of their performances in Nevada.

SIVBC 17 Storm (13th – 6 wins, 4 losses)
The only to represent the Evergreen State in the 17 American division, SIVBC 17 Storm has put on a solid shift in Las Vegas, winning six out of ten matches to finish in upper area of the standings. The squad from the Bellevue area was solid during pool play, five out of seven, including the first four against NRG VBC 17 AMPD Navy, Burl. United 17 Orange, Hype 171 and AVC CLE Rox 17 White. The team started the Challenge Round well too, beating ECVC Hurricanes 17-1, but couldn’t progress any further due to setbacks to Sky High-Adidas 17 Black and HPSTL 17 Royal, this one in the Silver Bracket B.

DaKine Warriors 17 Surf (27th – 3 wins, 6 losses)
The team from Tacoma carried Washington’s flag alone in the 17 National division and finished around mid-table at 27th in the 48-team division with three wins and six losses. DaKine Warriors 17 Surf had a really slow start to the tournament in Las Vegas, losing all five pool play matches and taking just one set along the way. The team fought back with consecutive victories against ACE 17-1, Legacy 17-2 Adidas and NWAJS 17 National Black, but exited the tournament with another upset, this one from Premier Nebraska 17 Black.
17 Open
NPJ Seattle 17 National (35th – 9 losses)
The team from Seattle was the only from the entire state to qualify to the competitive 17 Open division but struggled against stronger competition and ended near the bottom at 35th with nine losses in as many matches. It was a tough tournament for NPJ Seattle 17 National from start to finish as the team managed to win just three sets, one in the opening match against Metro 17 Travel and the other two in the final games, against Tstreet 17-Naseri and Dynasty Academy 17 Adidas.

PSVBA 17 Kim (31st – 7 wins, 3 losses)
The team from the Puget Sound Volleyball Academy out of Tacoma had a better win record than SIVBC 17 Heat at 7-3, but had to settle for 31st in the 54-team division. A single win in three pool play matches, against Seal Beach 17 – Black, put PSVBA Kim on a tough path but the team responded well, winning six in a row against SoCal 17-Suzana, Santa Monica 17 Premier, Wave 17 Chris, Rage 17 Toa & Dina, SG Elite 17 Thunder and Coast 17-3 before falling to AZ Sky 17N1 in their final match.

The team from Seattle got a similar finish but didn’t have such a strong campaign, winning five out of their nine matches to rank 31st. Seattle Jrs 17 also won a single pool play match, against Santa Monica 17 Premier, but was almost perfect on Rounds 2 and 3, winning four out of five, against Spiral 17, Epic 17-Tyler, Forza1 North 17 UA and NKYVB 17-3 Typhoon. They dropped their final match in Las Vegas to Seal Beach 17-Black.
