Continue ReadingWe would love to officially welcome the 2024 class to the Prep Dig State Rankings. We are going to restart this series that we began this past spring with the freshman class of 2024. We have covered some in the San Antonio area already but are back again because they have a ton of really talented players on our State Rankings List. We are extremely excited to cover this class now that they have had their high school season complete. We have been very active in communicating with College Recruiting Directors all over the state so that we can bring the best to the eyes of the college coaches we have in our database that read our articles. So without further ado, here are a few more of the standouts from the 2024 class from the San Antonio and surrounding areas.
Lola Davila Lola Davila 5'6" | DS/L Brandeis | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-6 Libero (HS: Brandeis/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Lola as we currently have her ranked as the 55th best overall prospect and the 7th best libero in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays high school volleyball at Brandeis High School and also club for Alamo out of the San Antonio area. Lola is the next great libero to come out of the Alamo program and she is following in her predecessors’ footsteps quite well if we do say so. She has excellent and super fast footwork in every aspect of the game. This young lady is a gamer and loves to play volleyball. She exudes that love for the game and it is quite infectious. You can see it in how positive she is for other players’ achievements. I love everything about her skills as she is the quintessential libero from footwork to platform. Her emergency techniques are second to none as she is not afraid to extend on to the ground to keep the ball alive. Her range is extensive due to her footwork and always keeping her eyes on the hitter. What I truly love is her extremely fast twitch muscle reflexes she showcases every game. Alamo liberos are always legit and get scooped up quick so I suggest any coaches reading this should jot her name down at the top of your list now. Please help us welcome Miss Davila to the State Rankings as we are excited to cover her for the future.
Megan Hawkins Megan Hawkins 5'9" | S Canyon | 2024 State TX [2024] 5-9 Setter (HS: NB Canyon/Club: TCVA/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Megan as we currently have her ranked as the 56th best overall prospect and the 12th best setter in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. Miss Hawkins plays high school for New Braunfels Canyon and also club for a small club Tri County Volleyball Association out of the Lone Star Region. She has already burst onto the scene at Canyon HS by earning Honorable Mention All District with her play on varsity as a freshman last season. She is a reason why they will continue to be dominant in their district for the foreseeable future. She has a sick jump float that stifles opponents regularly. We love that she is jump setting her quick attacks already at a young age. She has great location for all tempos and locations as she can hit the same spot multiple times in a row. We are excited to have her in the Prep Dig Family and are excited to watch her progress on the court. Please welcome her to the Prep Dig family and congratulate her on being ranked with the top players in the great state of Texas.
Brena Denny Brena Denny 5'11" | OH Clark | 2024 TX [2024] 5-11 Outside (HS: SA Clark/Club: SA Juniors/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Please welcome Brena as we currently have her ranked as the 57th best prospect overall in the 2024 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. Brena is a talented pin hitter from San Antonio Clark School and the famed Alamo Volleyball club from San Antonio although she just switched clubs to the new up and coming San Antonio Juniors club program. She appeared in eight sets last year for her varsity squad last season but will be looked at to contribute a lot more as a sophomore this season. She is just coming off of a fantastic club season with Alamo as they just competed at the Girls Junior National Championships in Vegas this summer in the Open Division. She will be a great addition to the SA Juniors team. She has a solid arm swing and can put some serious heat on the ball out of any position on the court. Brena is extremely talented and has a high ceiling due to her ability to play all three positions across the front row. We are excited to cover her for the future and can’t wait to see her progress. Please welcome her to the Prep Dig family and congratulate her on being ranked amongst the best in the state.
