Continue ReadingWe are venturing all around the state to explore a few players we haven’t written about yet on our State Rankings List. These Oklahoma athletes have waited long enough to enjoy some recognition for being such great volleyball players. These young ladies are ready to take the court by storm now that high school volleyball is back on for a full season. They just finished their club seasons and we have some updates on how it went. We couldn’t be happier to give them kudos for their hard work as we announce their placement on the Prep Dig State Rankings List.
Sydney Thompson Sydney Thompson 5'8" | DS/L Washington | 2022 State OK [2022] 5-8 Libero (HS: Washington/Club: Club ONE/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Sydney is currently ranked as our 25th best overall prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Washington High School and a great club program in Club ONE. She is very athletic and moves extremely well all over the court whether she is covering her hitters or reading the offense to put herself in a great position to dig the ball. Her strong upper body frame allows her to control the ball very well in serve receive and be an extremely consistent passer. Most liberos have trouble digging in both directions well, but Syd has a quick release going in both directions. Any school that is looking for a libero who can play all three back row positions should be giving her a look or two as she could really help a program. Please help us congratulate her on achieving such great accomplishments of being a top player in the state. Stay tuned for more on her senior year.
Amiyah Norwood Amiyah Norwood 5'8" | OH Union | 2022 State OK [2022] 5-8 Outside/Middle (HS: Union/Club: Club ONE/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Amiyah is currently ranked as our 26th best overall prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for Union High School and also club volleyball for Club ONE. This young lady can bang. She takes a very violent approach and utilizes momentum in order to attack the ball with a lot of force. I really love how much fire she plays the game with as it is extremely contagious to her teammates. She is a great back row defender and plays mostly out of the middle back position for Union HS. Reading hitters out of the middle is a lot harder than people think. Amiyah has fantastic court vision and sets up in the seam of the block well in order to keep her team in the rally. We are excited to cover her senior season and to have her as part of our Oklahoma State Rankings. Please congratulate her on the special achievement.
Kedron Burk Kedron Burk 6'0" | MB Home School | 2022 State OK [2022] 6-1 Middle (HS: OKC Storm/Club: Oklahoma Peak Performance/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Kedron is currently ranked as our 27th best overall prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays club for the awesome Oklahoma Peak Performance program. We love her height and frame that she brings to the table in the middle position. She is part of the famed ten foot club meaning she can approach touch ten feet in the air which is a metric that a lot of college coaches love. Please help us congratulate her on being one of the best volleyball players in the state. She possesses college level power with a whip of an arm swing. Her long arms allow her to be a force when it comes to shutting down opposing attackers. She approaches very tough toward her setter and gets off of the ground super fast, which a lot of coaches love from their middles at the next level. We are excited to have her in our Prep Dig Family and look forward to watching her senior season. Stay tuned because she has what it takes to move up the rankings soon.
