So it’s time to give some recognition who really caught our eyes this week. These four ladies left it all on the court and deserve every ounce of praise they are getting. Let’s take a look.
Nathaly Flores Nathaly Flores RS Union City | 2022 State NJ (Union City)
Nathaly Flores Nathaly Flores RS Union City | 2022 State NJ returns to the court for Union City with a splash. She moves all over the front row for her team, and this year has already started off with 34 kills over three matches as an all-around hitter lining wherever she is needed. Union City will go as far as she can take them.
Bridget Lonergan (Mount St. Dominic)
Lonergan has been the focal point of a Mount Dominic squad still trying to find itself. But she has taken this season by storm to start the year and she is starting to find her groove as MB/OH. She has opened this season with a vengeance with 41 kills and 19 blocks in five matches.
Patricia Rakova Patricia Rakova OH Verona | 2023 State NJ (Verona)
When it comes to Verona, you look no further than Rakova. She is a force on the outside with a live arm and is starting to find her own defensively as she is starting to see more playing time in the back row. She has 46 kills through five matches.
Emily Wolters Emily Wolters S North Hunterdon | 2022 State NJ (North Hunterdon)
Last but certainly not least is one of the best setters in the state in Wolters of North Hunterdon. Wolters has showcased her precision passing and ability to be creative from anywhere on the court which makes the entire team more dangerous offensively. She could easily lead the state in assists and is already the early front-runner with 103 assists in six matches.
