Continue ReadingThe offers for our wonderful Texas players keep coming. We love to see the pictures and news of these players as they are achieving their dreams. We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the high school volleyball season and have been also hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Jordan Chapman Jordan Chapman 5'8" | S Reedy | 2022 State TX [2022] 5-8 Setter (HS: Reedy/Club: Drive Nation/Verbal: St. Edwards University)
We currently have Jordan ranked as the 116th best prospect overall and the 21th ranked setter in the stellar 2022 Class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She plays for some great programs in the Dallas area in Reedy high school and Drive Nation Volleyball club. We profiled her in an individual article recently and here is a little of what we said, “Her Drive Nation squad has taken the age group by storm this year and proved that they are a serious contender for the ultimate crown in 17 Open. Her setting and leadership skills are a huge reason why. She sets for one of the most explosive lineups in the state of Texas. Jordan is a crafty setter who has helped 17 Red to a very impressive 44-10 overall record in club, which equates to an 81% winning percentage against some amazing competition. Having won the Mid-East national qualifier, they are now getting ready for Vegas to compete with the best the nation has to offer for USA Junior Nationals. The All-District setter has also helped her Reedy high school team to a 17-7 overall record and 14-3 in district. She is going to have them poised for another solid run next year, which is her senior season. She tracks the ball extremely well off of her passers platform, which helps with her setting location consistency. The jump-setting phenom runs such a fluid offense and we love when she goes against flow to keep the defense off-balance.” We watched as she dished the ball all over the place this summer at USA Jr. Nationals. She is smooth and we knew it wouldn’t be long before someone scooped her up. We are proud to announce that she just chose to commit to St. Edward’s University. We think she will start immediately when she arrives on campus. We will gladly watch her senior season at Reedy as they remain super competitive this school season.
Aniya Clinton Aniya Clinton 6'1" | MB Midland | 2022 State TX [2022] 6-1 Middle (HS: Midland/Club: Texas Advantage/Verbal: Kansas State)
Please welcome Aniya to the 2022 Prep Dig State Rankings. We have her listed as the 20th best overall prospect and the 5th best middle in the state. We profiled her back during our rankings update in April and here is a little of what we stated, “She is the biggest surprise of the Rankings and we are thrilled to have her and introduce you to her name. She is an amazing physical middle who has some of the most potential on the list. When you watch her play you can’t miss the raw power and natural athleticism that she possesses. She has some learning to do in the position, but so far has taken direction well and her coaches at TAV are some of the best in the country, so I think she is in good hands. We will wait and see which college coaches agree with the potential, but until then we will love covering her and her great TAV teammates as they compete against the best competition across the country. Please congratulate Miss Clinton on her achievement of being one of the top players in the state of Texas. Stay tuned as we will add some more info on her soon.” It didn’t take long for her to get noticed, as she was exceptional during the GJNC in Vegas this summer. We watched as she dominated along the net. Many schools were in attendance and we are proud that she recently made her college choice. She just verbally committed to play volleyball for the Kansas State University. She will be a game changer for them as soon as she steps on campus in a few years. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dreams of playing volleyball at the next level.
Nina Moorer [2022] 6-0 Left Side (HS: Ridge Point/Club: Houston Skyline/Verbal: Louisville)
Nina is currently an unranked prospect for the 2022 class but we have our eyes on her and that could easily change during our next update of the Rankings. She is a very skilled and high flying outside pin attacker for Ridge Point High School and she also plays for the renowned Houston Skyline program. She is special because she is able to hit on both the left side and the right side. What I really like about her abilities is how high she hits the ball. She extends super high with her right arm and is able to contact very well above her opponents. The power that she possesses is astounding especially because of how fast her arm swing is. She has lightning in her right arm and it is unleashed in every swing. The fun aspect of watching her hit on the pins has to be just when the defense camps out on her hard cross shot, she will turn in mid-air and paint the line with tons of power. We are proud to announce that she recently chose to commit to the University of Louisville. She will do some great things being a Cardinal in a few years. Please congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing at the next level.
