’22 Haley Kruse Haley Kruse 5'7" | OH Lakewood Park Christian | 2022 State IN , 5-7 OH/DS, Lakewood Park Christian (Huntington commit)
Averaging nearly five kills per set while hitting a scorching .580 on the season, this multitalented, multi positional spitfire has already committed to play at Huntington in the ever-tough Crossroads League in NAIA. She can don a libero jersey, play three rotations as a DS, or be a primary passing 6-rotation outside for good measure. Add that to exceptional training at Empowered, and the Foresters got a gem of a player for years to come.
’22, Ally Madden, 6-1 OH, Blue River Valley (Saint Francis basketball commit)
You might find Ally on the Prep Dig Indiana Girls Hoops side of things on this collection of websites, but it would be irresponsible of me to fail to mention Miss Madden’s successes on the volleyball court this fall. She’s asked to do pretty much everything at BRV, including carry the offense. She’s averaging over six kills per set in her non-dominant sport. I can’t imagine how amazing she must be at basketball.
’22, Gracie Lowry Gracie Lowry 5'10" | OH Bloomfield | 2022 State IN , 5-10 OH, Bloomfield
Not committed as of yet, the best player in Tier Ten’s program is a solid six-rotation outside averaging over five kills per set while hitting north of .400 on the season. She’s athletic enough to go over smaller blockers and smart enough to tool or go around the bigger ones. Whoever lands Miss Lowry is getting a gym rat through and through, who (oh, by the way) also has First Team All-State honors already on her mantle.
’24, Shaye Watson, 6-0 OH, Elkhart Christian Academy
Playing bigger than her six foot frame, Shaye could probably play middle at smaller schools at the next level, but her training at NIVA might make her better suited to be a pin player at the larger schools or a six rotation player at smaller schools. I like her length, her ability to use her size to her advantage, and her ability to terminate. She’s currently averaging over five kills per set while hitting .300.
’24, Emma Segal Emma Segal 5'6" | DS/L Frontier | 2024 State IN , 5-7 OH/DS, Frontier
This Boiler Juniors product can easily be a DS or libero wherever she likes, but my guess is that she wants to be a six-rotation passer at the next level. At the 5 kps/.300 level, Emma is more than capable of terminating, and prides herself on putting balls away smartly rather than with force. Part of me thinks that she could be a solid outdoor player as well, as her ball control is probably the best of the five listed here.
