We are proud to announce some news from the recruiting front. There are three more players who have just committed to college volleyball programs recently and we would like to share the news. These young ladies have been hard at work during the high school volleyball season and have been also hard at work on the recruiting scene getting offers from schools and have made their decisions. Help us in congratulating them on the amazing news.
Kynzie Lilly [2023] 5-7 Libero (HS: FB Travis/Club: Katy United/Verbal: University of New Mexico)
Kynzie is currently an unranked prospect according to our Prep Dig State Rankings but we definitely have our eye on her. She is a fantastic experienced libero who plays at Fort Bend Travis high school and plays for the up and coming Katy United club program out of West Houston. Kynz has been on varsity since bursting onto the scene as a freshman and has been super solid. So far, in three seasons, she has tallied 754 digs, 827 service receptions, and also added 39 aces. I really like her posture as she contacts hard driven balls. You can tell she has been trained very well due to her consistency with it. Body control while diving can make or break a libero’s digging ability and Miss Lilly showcases it well. She is able to dig and set second balls with her hands very well and that will translate to the college game nicely. We are excited to cover her for this season and her senior season. Please congratulate her on achieving her dream of playing college volleyball.
Ava Terry Ava Terry 5'6" | DS/L Grand Oaks | 2022 State TX [2022] 5-4 Libero (HS: Grand Oaks/Club: TAV Houston/Verbal: Sam Houston State)
Miss Terry is currently ranked as our 132nd best overall prospect and 16th best libero in the state according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We have written about her a few times and here is a little of what we have written, “Ava plays the game the way a Libero should. She is always watching her opponent and keeps her feet balanced and spaced very well. She transitions very well to her adjusted defensive spot and is eager for the attack to come her way. She’s very quick to react to any offensive threat. I think she has a good future in the sport. What truly makes her stand out to me while I watch her play is her extremely soft touch on hard driven balls. She does it so effortlessly. With her soft touch, she always has such a great angle to rebound the ball to her setter. She has the speed and agility to play the position at the next level. Under the expert tutelage of a great high school coach in Morgan Rogers and a great club director Joe Lind, she will get the training necessary to do so. Through her stellar play, Ava earned 13-6A 2ndteam All District. She was able to tally 776 digs, 1161 service receptions, and 37 aces. Ava helped Grand Oaks to an 18-6 overall record and 7-3 district record. With some great firepower coming back next season, she is going to be looked at to keep the back row at Grand Oaks steady so they can stay just as competitive as they have been.” She and her Grand Oaks team are still super competitive this season as they are 23-12 on the year and are getting into district play right now. She has surpassed 1000 digs this season and has also surpassed the 1500 service receptions. We are proud to announce that she recently committed to playing volleyball at Sam Houston State University. She will be a great addition to their roster next year. Please help us congratulate Ava on earning a spot on a college volleyball roster. It is a dream of almost every young volleyball player and a great accomplishment.
Jada Price [2022] 5-5 Libero (HS: Argyle/Club: Madfrog/Verbal: Colorado Schoool of Mines)
Jada is currently an unranked prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is a solid libero from the North Texas area who plays at Argyle High School and also Madfrog volleyball. Jada has been stellar in four years on varsity as she has tallied 1557 digs, 1714 service receptions, and also 130 aces. This young lady has been amazing for Argyle in those four years. She is a firecracker on the court and plays the position very fast. She digs nails with ease by softening the contact with her platform. Her small stature is not a weakness as she is able to push off and fly around the court digging balls well outside of her range. Her serve receive is just as good as her defensive ability. She is able to take over a game with We are excited to announce that she recently chose to commit to Colorado School of Mines to play college volleyball. Please help us congratulate her on achieving her dream of being able to play at the next level.
