Lauren Wallace Lauren Wallace 6'0" | RS Munster | 2023 State IN , ’23, 6-0 OH/RS, Munster
For years now, Haley Melby Haley Melby 6'1" | OH Munster | 2022 State #93 Nation IN (’22, 6-1 OH, Iowa commit) has been the heart and soul of Mustang volleyball. However, you don’t go 31-4 without a complementary piece in the offense. Insert Miss Wallace, who has amassed over 500 kills in her two years of starting for Munster. Her size and athleticism are seemingly always on display, and comes from a volley-centric family, as older sister Laila plays for Radford. With nine (!!!) seniors on this fall’s squad, Lauren will be the main cog that makes this engine go next fall.
Brenna Ginder Brenna Ginder 5'5" | DS/L Carroll Fort Wayne | 2024 State #137 Nation IN , ’24, 5-4 DS/L, Carroll
In two years on varsity, Brenna is well past 800 digs, making her THE libero for the Chargers of the present and future of the program. No one was more responsible for the first contact than Miss Ginder, and her instincts and quickness were on display throughout the season. I’m greatly looking forward to her club season with Team Pineapple ‘s 16 Black squad.
Ellie Frey Ellie Frey 6'0" | OH Carroll | 2023 State IN , ’23, 6-0 OH, Carroll
When you include the top defender, invariably there’s a top attacker that takes advantage of the opportunities. Ellie can hit any shot from any spot on the floor, front row and back, and has a high-and-hard arm swing that’s tough to defend. Knowing that Ellie and Brenna return for the Chargers for next fall should cheer up the Carroll fanbase for their future.
Alexis Caldwell Alexis Caldwell 6'1" | OH New Albany | 2023 State IN , ’23, 6-1 OH, New Albany
Perennially stuck in their sectional, Alexis is the lead attacker for a Bulldog program that always has athletes, but are just shy in the club-playing department to overtake a blue blood program like Providence. Her play has steadily increased in skill and strength over her three seasons of playing time, and she should surpass 1000 kills before her high school career is over. A primary-passing outside, Alexis gets her solid all-around game by training across the Ohio River at KIVA.
