FIRST TEAM
Keira Moore, ’22, 5-6 DS/L, Castle, committed to Southern Indiana
On a senior-heavy team, nothing meant more to Castle’s success than the first contact that came from Keira. 1400+ digs, 200+ aces, 250+ assists, and being a primary passer for four full high school seasons, Miss Moore is a relentless pursuer of the ball, can easily pass half the court in serve receive, and is phenomenal behind the baseline. USI got an amazing local player in Keira, and I would not be surprised if she was playing right away for the Eagles next fall.
Macy Hatkevich, ’23, 5-8 S, Penn
One of the more athletic setters in the class of ’23, Macy has already passed the 1000 assists mark, and has another full season of high school ball to go before passing 2000. She’s not only a setter, she defends well, knows exactly when to go over on two, is tough from behind the baseline, and plays an high level club schedule. Size is not a deterrent for Miss Hatkevich; her athleticism and ability to set anyone any tempo set at any time with excellent location makes her a solid setter pickup for some lucky school at the next level.
SECOND TEAM
Rachel Rossman Rachel Rossman 5'9" | S Crown Point | 2022 State #189 Nation IN , ’22, 5-7 S, Crown Point, committed to Oakland
Would you like one more team from up north? Why not? Nearly 3000 assists later, Rachel was a great part of CP’s success over her four years, and in more ways than running the offense. She’s also racked up nearly 1000 digs, proving that setters actually can play defense. Her anticipation on defense, coupled with her vision to be able to create holes in blocks on offense, make Miss Rossman an absolute steal for Oakland.
