Dexter held host to a top ten battle between No. 4 Skyline and No. 8 Northville. It may have been cold outside but it was red hot in the Dreadnaught gym.
It was a battle of heavy arms lead by the likes of Legacy teammates, Abigail Reck Abigail Reck 6'2" | MB Northville | 2023 State #74 Nation MI and Harper Murray Harper Murray 6'2" | OH Skyline | 2023 State #2 Nation MI . Murray and the Eagles move on with a 3-1 win over Reck and company but man, did the two teams put on a show. Here were some of the standouts.
Abigail Reck Abigail Reck 6'2" | MB Northville | 2023 State #74 Nation MI (2023) | 6-1 OH/MB | Northville/Legacy
Despite a losing effort, Reck was easily the star of the night. Reck was unstoppable all night long. Converting to the outside this season from her traditional middle role, she has become pretty comfortable on the left. Reck is definitely a power player, but what was most impressive was her shot selection. She was tearing up the line shot with ease and throwing in the off-speed, keeping the defense in constant limbo. She added to her net presence with some domineering serving that led to huge runs for the Mustangs. Without Reck’s play, this match could’ve easily gone into a sweep.

Cari Bohm Cari Bohm 6'4" | MB Ann Arbor Skyline | 2022 State #39 Nation MI (2022) | 6-4 MB | Skyline/Legacy
When you have two future Big Ten volleyball players on your roster, you’re going to be pretty successful. Bohm showed she’s ready for the big time in her performance. Bohm made her presence known early in the contest with her block. As the match went on, she got more and more dangerous on the attack. Bohm boasts a heavy arm in front of the setter and can go over just about any block put in her way.

Harper Murray Harper Murray 6'2" | OH Skyline | 2023 State #2 Nation MI (2023) | 6-1 OH | Skyline/Legacy
Murray is a name known widely throughout the volleyball world. Her ability to take over matches like she did tonight is one of the biggest reasons. When you watch Harper attack, she leaves you in awe. She flies through the air with such grace to just send utter bombs at her opponents. Murray put down 21 kills on the night for her fourth 20+ kill match of the season, while leading the Eagles in digs with 16! The Nebraska commit leads her team to their second Battle Creek visit in three years.
Molly Reck Molly Reck 5'10" | OH Northville | 2025 State MI (2025) | 5-10 OH/RS | Northville/Legacy
I hope you aren’t tired of hearing the Reck name, because you’ll be hearing it for awhile. Molly came off the bench in the latter half of the match and made quite the impression. Not only being a freshman, but coming off of the bench in this kind of match is a big ask. Reck came right in and made an immediate impact. Reck was taking big rips at the ball and scoring on just about every one.
Juliana Imbuzeiro Juliana Imbuzeiro 5'10" | S Northville | 2022 State MI (2022) | 5-10 S | Northville/Legacy
Imbuzeiro put up a big fight in her final match in an orange jersey, The setter was impressive, spreading the ball around all night. As the match went on, what really stood out was her net presence. Imbuzeiro came up with some pretty clever dumps on two that scored almost every time. And that block. Juliana had her hand in on some pretty big stuffs down the stretch in sets three and four.
