Some of the athletes listed may have played multiple positions on the court, but we have chosen them for the positions that we think they excelled at the most.
We are proud to announce our First Team All State in this article series. We will be posting a few athletes at a time in order to give enough credit to each player. We are very proud of each player and everyone who helped them reach their goals this year. These players are being picked due to their individual performance on their teams this high school season. The second article in this series is devoted to the Outsides. These two young ladies are our picks for 1st Team All- State.
1st Team All State Selection: Outside
Mackenzie McGuire Mackenzie McGuire 6'2" | OH Broken Arrow | 2022 State OK [2022] 6-2 Outside (HS: Broken Arrow/Club: UPVBC/Verbal: Kent State)
Mackenzie is currently ranked as our best overall prospect and the top outside in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We profiled her earlier this summer and here is a little refresher on what we stated, “She is the main offensive weapon for Broken Arrow High School and one of the best club teams in the Sooner state in the 17’s age group in UPVBC. This young lady is the real deal on the pin as she has size, speed, and power. She is able to score almost at will on the left side and is a true six-rotation player for both teams she plays on. Broken Arrow HS uses her well in play-sets out of serve receive as they routinely bring her in for the second tempo set in the middle and it is a guaranteed kill. There is hardly ever a match that she doesn’t record high double-digit kills. This past high school season she had 349 kills on a .265 hitting percentage, 42 Blocks, 24 Aces, 153 digs, which resulted in her earning another 1st Team All-Conference award. The three-year varsity starter is one to keep your eye on. I know plenty of colleges who should give her a solid look as she enters her senior season.” She recently committed to Kent State after a fantastic showing at Nationals this summer. We watched her during the tournament and spoke to a few coaches who were watching her closely. Kent State is getting a very good one for their program next year. She led Broken arrow to a birth in the State tourney. We are proud to announce that she has earned 1st Team All-State this year due to her phenomenal play. Please help us congratulate her on he achievement.
1st Team All State Selection: Outside
Lari Migliorino Lari Migliorino 6'0" | MB Norman North | 2022 State OK [2022] 6-0 Outside (HS: Norman/Club: Oklahoma Peak Performance/Verbal: Central Oklahoma)
Lari is currently ranked as our 2nd best overall prospect in the 2022 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. We profiled her previously and here is a little of what we stated, “She is the show-stopper for Norman High School and one of the best club teams in the Sooner state at Oklahoma Peak Performance. Her reach to close the block cannot be ignored. It stifles opposing attackers. Just when they think they have a window to hit into…bam! Lari says Not in Her House! Her super high approach touch is difficult for opponents to defend. Very quick off the ground and a deadly arm-swing give this young lady a solid attack that is a force to be reckoned with.” This young lady showed everyone just how good she is with her play during her senior season. She went over the 1,000 career kills mark and led her varsity squad to a birth in the State tourney and they reached the Finals. The Central Oklahoma commit is one you cannot stop on the pins. She is a stud track star also at Norman North and this helps her athleticism shine. We are proud to announce that she has earned 1st Team All-State. Please help us congratulate her on the achievement.
