There are possibly a dozen we knew due to them playing up on 15s teams last year during club play. My rule is I don’t start watching athletes until the 15s season or their freshman year of high school. We talked about players like Jordan Smith Jordan Smith 6'4" | OH Francis Howell Central | 2025 State #59 Nation MO , Emma Christian Emma Christian 5'8" | S Liberty North | 2025 State MO , and Morgan Christine Dumm Morgan Christine Dumm 5'11" | S Francis Howell | 2025 State MO but here are a few players who jumped out to us this fall we will be watching more as the club season gets going.
Tara Greenberry – Incarnate Word Academy
IWA has pumped out some good players over the years and Greenberry looks to be the next one through the pipeline after a strong debut season. The 6’2 MB came close to 300 kills on the year, finishing with 273. She showed her ability to affect the game defensively also with 69 blocks on the year. She has the frame and athleticism to possibly move to the pin.
Reagan Nelson – Pattonville
The freshman OH was a force to be reckoned with in her first high school season. How about 405 kills for almost 4 1/2 kills per set to start her career? She showed her ability to be a six rotation player with close to 300 digs on the year. Nelson also showed she can score points behind the service line with over 60 aces.
Ella Keeven – Marquette
The 5’8 Keeven showed she will be one of the top setters in the class when the smoke clears after her first season. She displayed leadership and poise helping lead the team to a 28 win year. She ran the offense dishing out 892 assists. In the back row, she was stellar with 259 digs. With her height, we look forward to watching her become more offensive in years to come.
Avery Helms – Howell
Helms was very poised in her first season of high school ball for Howell. She raked up 405 digs and 629 receptions. She was aggressive behind with her serve, scoring 41 aces this fall.
