Lorie Horta Lorie Horta S Roxbury | 2023 State NJ (Roxbury)
Horta has been one of the best in the state all-season long and that did not change in the semifinals against Northern Highlands in North 1 Section. She finished with 22 assists and 10 digs and put on a passing master class. Her precision passing and pinpoint accuracy was on full-display. It was almost effortless.
Jocelyn Rodriguez (Rutherford)
Rodriguez was the focal point in major rally after dropping the first set for Rutherford’s come from behind victory over Secaucus. She was on point from the start with 17 kills and 23 digs. She was making plays everywhere on the outside, backrow, as a passer and more.
Kennedy Kwinta (Dayton)
Kwinta made all of the correct plays in their semifinal victory over Harrison in straight sets. She finished with 14 assists and 9 digs. The team was clicking on ally cylinders and she put the team in the position to do so.
Skylee Ohler (Delaware Valley)
Lastly, we have Ohler from Delaware Valley who was on her A-game from the first point in their straight-set victory over New Providence. Her passing was immaculate with 25 assists as a setter and 16 digs. She made every pass from everywhere on the court with perfect accuracy.
