21. Kirstyn Loyd Kirstyn Loyd 5'11" | OH Jefferson | 2023 State MO – 5’11” – OH – Jefferson/HPSTL
Hammer on the outside was a pivotal component to Jefferson finishing 3rd in Class 3. Loyd used her quickness and arm strength to pound 472 kills and added 312 digs. Two hundred forty-one kills short of the 1000+ mark, which she is sure to reach next season. A big strong six rotation outside would be an excellent get for a DII program.
22. Abigail Christian Abigail Christian 5'9" | DS/L Liberty North | 2023 State MO – 5’9” – Libero – Liberty North/Dynasty
Abigail caught my eye two years ago as a sophomore on Class 5 undefeated state champions and continues to impress. This year, a great read on the ball and excellent communication helped keep the Eagles as state contenders. With 433 digs last year and 899 for her career, she’ll be another libero reaching a 1000+ dig milestone next year.
23. Brooklyn Young Brooklyn Young 6'0" | MB Liberty | 2023 State MO – 6’0” – MB – Liberty/Dynasty
Young, another player that caught my eye at the state tournament, was a freshman and one of the bouncy middles that made it look easy to get to the pins to block and provided Liberty with a future star. She provides more offensive output to go with the tenacious blocker as a junior. Move her to the right side, and she could be a deadly hitter that puts up the monster block. With 586 kills and 223 blocks for her career, look for a big high school and club ball season.
24. Addison Kersting Addison Kersting 5'11" | S St. Charles | 2023 State MO – 5’10” – S – St. Charles/HPSTL
Lefty setter takes a mean swing on the ball from the setter position, or my favorite move of hers is a setter slam to the five position. Great accuracy to the pins and has a keen sense of when to be more offensive-minded. The stat stuffer is a good one with 1045 career assists, 489 digs, and 384 kills.
25. Isabel Day Isabel Day 5'9" | DS/L Park Hill South | 2023 State MO – 5’9” – Libero – Park Hill South/KC Power
She will be a talented hitter for the Panthers and an outstanding libero in club ball, so whether she becomes a libero in college or hits, she will provide her future home with a talented all-around player. Career kills at 619 and 803 digs.
26. Emma Conrad Emma Conrad 5'0" | DS/L Nixa | 2023 State MO – 5’0” – Libero – Nixa/417 Juniors
Part of the power program at Nixa, the little libero is a nasty defender and excellent passer. 234 digs short of 1000+ for a career and will quarterback the defense to perfection.
27. Kennedy Smalley Kennedy Smalley S Harrisonville | 2023 State MO – 5’8” – S – Harrisonville
Another lefty setter that can pound the ball provides a great block and would make an excellent addition to a program. Great hands and comes around for a two-ball in the middle. Great leader and career stats are 834 assists, 678 digs, and 472 kills.
28. Reese Gray Reese Gray 5'8" | OH Lesterville | 2023 State MO – 5’8” – OH – Lesterville/ H2 17 Under Armour
Gray would be a tremendous asset to any DII program. From a small Class 1 school Gray has already niched her way into the Missouri high school volleyball record books with ten records and completed last year with the most kills in a season with 648. Career stats 1475 kills and 1357 digs.
29. Emma Blaine Emma Blaine 6'0" | MB St. Dominic | 2023 State MO – 6’0” – MB – St. Dominic/HPSTL
The big mobile middle for the Crusaders is a great blocker and packs a mighty arm. She moves laterally with ease and puts up a solid block with her length and vertical. With 185 career blocks, Blaine should be a middle blocker most DII schools would fight over.
30. Mia Berg Mia Berg 6'1" | OH Eureka | 2023 State MO – 6’0” – MB – Eureka/Rockwood Thunder
It runs in the family, and the middle might be just as good as her mother was in her playing days. The powerful smart hitting middle has the makings of a great college middle blocker.
