Club Fusion Volleyball, is one of the many volleyball clubs in the Chicagoland areas, housing some powerhouse athletes. Club Fusion is one of the teams that caught my eye this weekend, starting of the championship with 3-0 win within their bracket. Fusion 18 Silver has gone undefeated this weekend, closing out all of their opponents on such a small number. Carrying a team with so much talent, Fusion 18 Silver had three athletes stands out to me and are going to be some stock rising athletes to watch throughout the remainder of the club season.
Saige Avery- S
Avery is a very strong athlete when it comes to her moving across the court. Avery has very strong sets and is consistent when working with the rotation of hitters that are rotated amongst the team. Her serves are strong and consistent and she is very responsive on the court. Her sportsmanship is another thing that I noticed. The communication and the demand to be there for her team is great to see. Avery is apart of the class of 2022 and is definitely finishing out her season with a bang.
Kyra Taylor- OH
Taylor, another member of the class of 2022, is one that I could not keep my eyes off of. Taylor is a strong hitter, and her swing is strong and sturdy. Taylor has a very powerful swing, making her kills powerful onto her opposing team. Taylor gets good height off the floor and makes the most of it when it comes to her swings and her blocks. The blocking skills that Taylor has is outstanding and she never misses a beat when it comes to knowing where the ball is at all times.
Madison Hankins- S
Hankins is another member of the class of 2022 and has a very interesting way of playing on court. Though she is a setter, she has a diverse style of playing, making her able to have nice sets, however, she has a very strong and sturdy arm when it comes to her swings. Her ability to get off the floor and make consistent efforts to get the ball over caught m eye. Her blocking is great and she is always going to be found at the net, when it comes to playing on defense with good height off the floor.
