Competition is heating up at the club level in Washington, providing yet another opportunity for us to watch some of the top prospects in the state battle week in, week out in tournaments.
There are some Class of 2024 prospects who had solid high school seasons and seem poised to do the same with their clubs.
Players to Watch
Hannah Byers – Right Sider/Outside Hitter – Club: DaKine Warriors – HS: Olympia
A long and athletic pin hitter with a tremendous ability to score points, Hannah Byers is an exceptional offensive player. An outside hitter for Olympia during the last high school season, when she tallied 285 kills, 301 passes, 138 digs, 28 aces and 25 blocks, the 6’1” Byers was moved to the right by her club coach at DaKine, a role in which she can explore more of her offensive potential. She is very explosive at the net and is also extremely versatile, being able to efficiently score from the right, left and even the middle.
Katelyn Eichert – Setter – Club: Washington Volleyball Academy – HS: Lake Stevens
Katelyn Eichert has shown every possible sign she has what it takes to be a special setter over the last two years. The 5’7” playmaker was challenged with the task of leading one of the most successful high school programs in the entire state in Lake Stevens and responded with a 658-assist, 52-dig, 30-ace, 17-block sophomore season. Eichert has a very clean touch on the ball and is very consistent with her location, a combination that any hitter loves. She’s also a very good server and an excellent leader.

Rebecca Wilber – Outside Hitter – Club: North Pacific Juniors – HS: Puyallup
Rebecca Wilber has been steadily earning her space in the Washington volleyball scene. After a somewhat limited role with Puyallup in her freshman season, she grew into a larger role this past season, tallying 105 kills and 88 digs. Wilber stands at 5’8” but is a fantastic leaper and thrives in hitting a very fast set at the pin. She’s one of those players who do all the little things right and bring a lot of value to their teams.
