There are teams from Alaska to Texas and everything in between competing to prove just how great they are. The festivities started last night with the Showdown Showcase for hundreds of College coaches both in person and watching on Baller TV. It was very well run and had around 190 players showcasing their amazing skill-sets. This series of articles will be to highlight those special players that stood out during the Showcase. Let’s meet those that stood out:
Aniya Hall [2025] 5-9 Outside/Middle (HS: Reagan/Club: Alamo/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Anyia is currently ranked as the 26th overall prospect in the 2025 class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays high school out of San Antonio Reagan and club for the nationally known Alamo out of the Lone Star Region. Last night at the showcase this young lady was a show-stopper as she was dropping bombs all over. I loved how she rose up off of the ground so quickly no matter where the set is located. She is listed as a middle on Alamo’s roster, but she can easily play any position along the net. She is built for this sport and will be one to watch for the foreseeable future. Her foot speed and arm swing speed are at an elite level already at this young age. She had every court coach mentioning her name as a top performer. Give this young lady a look and you will not be disappointed.
Brookelyn Hatton [2025] 5-3 Libero (HS: Blue Valley West/Club: MAVS 816/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Brookelyn is a scrappy libero who plays at Blue Valley West high school and also club for MAVS 816 Volleyball. This super fast back row beast had me doing double takes at her knowledge of the game during the wash drills. She read the play super fast when the setter dug the first ball and was always a step ahead and in the right position ready to set the second ball to a pin hitter. While most players watch the ball when it is in the air and waits to move until after it is contacted, she is not one of those. These are the intangibles that let you know this libero has tons of promise to be a very great asset to a team at a high level. This is exactly why she is a freshman who had a big role on her varsity team. Although smaller in size, she had a huge heart and determination to not let many balls fall anywhere near her zone. We will be following her team this weekend from what we saw in her individual play last night at the showcase.
Kaitlyn Hall [2023] 5-9 Outside (HS: Falcon/Club: Colorado Springs Altitude/Verbal: Uncommitted)
Kaitlyn seemed like a normal average pin hitter at first glance, but when we saw her unload a few lethal shots we stopped and watched longer. Her game is very easy to fall in love with as you watch her do her thing on the court. Don’t sleep on her size at all. If you do, you will be fooled. She is a solid outside hitter from the Colorado area who plays high school at Falcon High School and club for Colorado Springs Altitude. She was scoring at will last night on her court during the wash drills. A few court coaches wrote her name down with some notes on her play. She showed some very explosive shots and also added great vision as she fooled defenders with her off-speed shots. We will be following her this weekend from what we saw on the court last night. Stay tuned for more on Miss Hall.
