Lola Schumacher Lola Schumacher 5'4" | DS/L Brebeuf Jesuit | 2024 State #60 Nation IN , 5-4, Munciana, Brebeuf
With a state title already under her belt, Lola is by far the best libero available in the class of ’24 from the state of Indiana. She’s been playing at this high of a level since the fall of 2020, where she was more than capable of being the special jersey wearer for a state runner-up run that fall. Now, she’s the ‘bro for her squad at the best passing club in the state. And she only gets better from here.
Brenna Ginder Brenna Ginder 5'5" | DS/L Carroll Fort Wayne | 2024 State #137 Nation IN , 5-4, Team Pineapple , Carroll
From the Fort Wayne area, Miss Ginder isn’t far behind Lola listed above in skill or talent level. A left-back genius, Brenna can pursue, anticipate and accurately play any ball even remotely close to her. She knows pressure matches, she knows winning, and she knows the responsibility of wearing the special jersey. It’s only a matter of time before the rest of the recruiting world figures it out.
Camila Adams Camila Adams 5'8" | DS/L Providence | 2024 State IN , 5-8, KIVA, Providence
One of the few native Hoosiers to cross the Ohio River and play in Kentucky, it takes a special talent to crack a roster at KIVA. Camila projects to be either a three-rotation DS or a libero, depending on a team’s needs. She’s also a primary passing outside for perennial volleyball power Providence in the fall. Her first contact abilities are accurate and she reads and reacts at an upper level. She’s also regularly in pressure situations, and I’m pretty sure she’s never been on a losing team in her life. No matter—her training and volleyball IQ will continue to carry her far, and I hope that more kids in Southern Indiana understand that there’s excellent training on both sides of the Ohio River because of talents like Miss Adams.
Katie Smith Katie Smith 5'3" | DS/L Roncalli | 2024 State IN , 5-1, Academy, Roncalli
Showing out this past weekend at the Naptown Jamboree Showcase and tournament, Katie has caught our eyes multiple times for her relentless work ethic. Do not let her size fool you; she can get to any ball with her read-and-react skills, and can be anything from a dependable three rotation DS to the libero colleges covet. Yet another kid who always seems to be on a winning program, Miss Smith has improved year after year, and will continue to do so.
Alleigh Dutton Alleigh Dutton 5'4" | DS/L McCutcheon | 2024 State IN , 5-4, Circle City, McCutcheon
As the ‘bro for the Show Me Qualifier champs, Alleigh is the first contact queen for any open level play. She is so versatile—Alleigh can play any back row position, understands the responsibility of each position in every situation, and can go without the special jersey when needed (as in her high school team, who won a state championship this past fall). Qualifying for the open division at Nationals would not have been possible without Miss Dutton’s skills, and it shouldn’t be too long before colleges start noticing her high level of play.
