The Puget Sound region and the Columbia Empire region each send their top four 16U and top four 18U teams to compete, so a total of eight teams in each age bracket. First playing in a pool and then in a small bracket, one team will come out on top. One team from each age bracket will drop down, allowing for one team to move up and compete. There will be a few more Platinum tournaments taking place later on that we will be covering as well.
In the 16U age bracket the teams in attendance were: NPJ 16-1 National (CE), OJVA 16-1 Gold (CE), Athena 16-1 Gold, G3 16-1 (CE), Dakine 16-1 Surf (PS), NPJ Seattle 16-1 National (PS), Puget Sound 15-1 Navy (PS), and Dakine 15-1 Surf (PS).
All teams competed and great volleyball was played. To recap the tournament, we will be highlighting some standout players in their respective position and class.
OREGON ——————
Taelyn Bentley Taelyn Bentley 6'0" | MB Crescent Valley | 2025 State #90 Nation OR , 6’0”, MB, Crescent Valley High School, North Pacific Juniors 16-1 National

Another major pickup from G3 to NPJ is middle blocker Bentley. Very athletic and raw, her trajectory of improvement over the past year has been significant. A basketball player turned volleyball player, she is newer to the sport with this only being her third season of club ball. However, given her rapid improvement, she is on her way to being a highly sought-after 2025 recruit. She is explosive and quick on the attack and puts up a solid block.
Bentley was one of four freshmen to make the varsity team for the Crescent Valley High School Raiders. All of the 2025s saw significant court time and were definite impact players, Bentley as a starting middle blocker. On the season, she had 139 kills and 74 total blocks, 56 of them being solo blocks. Her play was a large part in the team’s second-place finish in the Midwestern Conference and their fourth-place finish in the 5A State tournament. Bentley was awarded Mid Willamette Second Team All-League.
Bentley is currently not committed to a school for the fall of 2025.
Joya Euhus Joya Euhus 6'1" | MB Santiam Christian | 2025 State OR , 6’0”, MB/OH, Santiam Christian School, G3 Volleyball 16-1

A returner to the G3 Volleyball 16-1 team, Euhus is back to dominating in the middle as their starting middle blocker. She does an exceptional job making herself available in transition. She is a bouncy attacker with an insane vertical and a fast arm swing. Most impressive is her blocking. Euhus has a great reach over the net with a strong press. Her feet stay ready to move to either pin and she does a good job tracking the set.
As a freshman, Euhus was on the varsity team for the Santiam Christian High School, one of two 2025s on the roster. Her play helped in the Eagle’s first-place finish in the Mountain Valley Conference (and going undefeated in league).
Euhus is currently not committed to a school for the fall of 2025.
WASHINGTON ——————
Jasmine Terry, 5’10”, MB, Ballou Junior High School, Puget Sound 15 Navy

Terry is a beast of a middle blocker for the Puget Sound 15-1 Navy team. A sheer athlete with an insane vertical jump, she proves deadly in the middle. However, she is capable of being just as dominant anywhere along the front row. Terry is an explosive attacker with a plethora of potential still left. She is one to watch over the coming seasons.
Terry is currently not committed to a school for the fall of 2025.
Grace Williams, 6’2”, MB, Capital High School, Dakine 15 Surf

Williams is one of the starting middle blockers for the Dakine 15 Surf team. She has shown significant improvement over the past season, and has physically grown in stature. A long and lanky middle, she has a high attack point on the ball. On serve receive, she does a good job selling the quick and being ready for it at all times. Although she has a good arsenal of set choices, she has developed a killer attack off of the one set.
As a freshman, Williams made the Varsity team for the Capital High School Cougars. She saw significant court time as an outside hitter for the Cougars. An impressive freshman campaign, she racked up 145 kills, hitting a .232 average, and also racked up 29 total blocks and 38 digs.
Williams is currently not committed to a school for the class of 2025.
